We scored plenty of goals while he has been out or banned. Don't get me wrong, losing a world class player is obviously a massive blow. It's just the way it is though with us at present. More than likely Coutinho will be on everyone lips next summer and this bullshit will start again.
If Suarez goes, getting the transfers right will be more important than ever. We could potentially fill the squad out with young hungry players that Rodgers can mould into a team of winners. It's been our downfall the last couple of seasons but I really think our transfers are moving in the right direction. Toure excluded of course.

this whole situation wrecks my head .
1/ we've been so badly managed by so many people for years now resulting in finishes of what 7th, 6th,8th and 7th . We've now put our faith in an in-experienced management team to get us back to the top "the right way" which god knows how long will take or if it will ever even happen . So we shouldn't be surprised at losing big players but christ it still hurts and reminds how poor we are /have been . Gerrard and Carragher both talk about Suarez as being the best they've played with , he's that good , and here we are potentially losing him like we did Alonso , Mascherano and torres .
2/ He's a pro footballer so nothing should surprise but it's a fucking lame excuse to blame the english media etc . What did he think would happen ? Maybe he gets an easy time from his home press because he's a hero there but surely he should know others will give him a hard time when he does the shite he does. Did the dutch press or football authorities think it was fine when he bit a lad there ? And would he not expect a hard time when banned (rightly or wrongly) for racist remarks ? He might be just using it as an excuse to force a move but it's weak .

I hope we have his replacement lined up if he goes. We'll be raped by clubs knowing we have money burning a hole in our pocket. Madrid will try shaft us anyway. After getting 50 million for Torres we need to stand firm on this. 40 million and a decent player from them. Someone like The Hig.

i dont think FSG will be screwed again in the transfer market after carroll, downing and coutinho. if we sell suarez, they will extract a very big price.
