Could they (Mane and Sturridge) form a deadly partnership upfront? Just seen the highlights and Mane adds so much to our play, the guile, trickery, and speed coupled wit Sturridge's skill and finishing we could have an attacking duo other teams fear.

I think Mane can do what none our other strikers can do for us i.e. make something happen when there is 10 men defending against us. it's a shame we did not buy another 'make something the fuck happen' during our transfer period. If there was one thing sinister about our loss over the weekend it is that the team in the majority were last years side.

Yes, I believe they should do.

Mane shouldn't play upfront in the tradition sense but instead have free licence when we have the ball. The pair of them could prove deadly providing Sturridge can keep himself fit.

Imagine if this partnership does become great...we could do an ad like the M&S:

"This strike partnership is no ordinary partnership - its an m&s parnternship"

Mane's destined to be the new 'one-man' in our one-man-team. We just change that guy every couple of years, he's next I reckon.
Sturridge and Coutinhno are both 'something out of nothing' players too.

We have 3 now but of course we want more.

Mane looks really smart as well as talented. He's immediately got that look about him that suggests he's going to take control.

I'm not sure he's that smart. It's his ability to accelerate away in the blink of an eye combined with really quick feet to make sure the ball goes with him, that makes him look like a genius and the defender look like an idiot.

I didn't mean that. I meant his regular conversations with other players, suggesting moves, urging them to follow him in trying something new, switching sides at key times, making the odd clever and unconventional run. Aside from Suarez I guess Bellamy was the last player to bring that sort of input into the side - someone prepared to think and talk and get things happening rather than glance over at the dug out. I'm not saying it's evidence of genius, I'm just saying, in a team full of dimwits, it's a relief to see someone with a bit of independent thought.

I noticed that against Burton. He was coming inside, demanding the ball, laying it off all at pace too, which in turn speeds up the other players from their pedestrian state. He's clearly being given more and more responsibility by Klopp who must have known his talent before, but must be delighted at how he's settled in.

He already looks a better player now than I saw at Southampton.

How about a front three of Origi--Sturridge--Mane?

Get the midfield balanced with Can + another and play Coutinho at the tip of the midfield three. Sorted.
