Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Of course he knows. Dont you think there has to be some formal "chat" aswell as part of the clause?
Thats at least my take on it.

Arsenal wouldnt be bidding 40 mill + the 1 pound Carra threw back at the fans at Highbury if Pere Guardiola wasnt informing them about the "release clause".

I agree.

They also wouldn't be offering it if they hadn't got some sorta of nod from Guardiola that Suarez would be keen to talk to them.

I didn't think it were possible for Suarez to be any more of a cunt, but if he goes and talks to fucking Arsenal after all he's said and done, well then oh my.

Just thinking what if RM stand by their 25m valuation in hope that the player wants to go there and/or we don't want to sell within England and more importantly? They like to play foul.
Daily Mail:

What will concern Liverpool even more is that Arsenal chiefs have already agreed in principle personal terms that offer Suarez a five-year deal worth up to £150,000 a week compared with his existing £120,000 a week.

And the north London club are confident that if an agreement with Liverpool can be reached, everything is in place to ensure the deal can be concluded quickly.
Daily Mirror:
Uruguay ace Suarez, 26, will find Wenger prepared to shatter the Emirates wage structure with a five-year, £150,000-a-week contract.

Liverpool have rejected Arsenal's improved offer of just over £40m for Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.
The unusual bid of £40,000,001 was designed to trigger a clause in the player's contract, but Liverpool have turned it down.
Under the terms of Suarez's deal, the club are duty bound to consider any offer for him in excess of £40m and then inform the 26-year-old of it.

But they do not have to sell and have now rejected two bids from Arsenal.
While Liverpool remain determined to keep their prized asset, who scored 30 goals for the club in 44 appearances last season, their resolve is likely to be tested if the bidding continues to rise.
Should Arsenal persist and have an improved bid accepted, it could come close to trebling their previous highest initial outlay on a transfer.
The Gunners, whose first offer for Suarez was £30m, paid a reported £15m to Zenit St Petersburg for Andrey Arshavin, in January 2009.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers last week said he considered Suarez to be at least as valuable as Edinson Cavani, who recently joined Paris St-Germain for £55m.
Real Madrid remain interested but have yet to make a formal offer.
Suarez joined Liverpool's pre-season tour of Australia at the weekend and was expected to hold talks about his future with Rodgers.
The Uruguay international flew to Melbourne from Montevideo on Sunday after being given extended leave by the Reds following the Confederations Cup.
He wants to leave Anfield to play for a Champions League club despite only signing a new long-term deal last summer.
Speculation has grown about Suarez's future since he was punished with a 10-game ban at the end of April for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
The striker still has to serve six games of that suspension and was also banned in 2011 after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011 in a £22.7m deal.

Well how can he be "informed" about something he is already aware of ?

Fucking fast ravens.

I'll reserve my excitement re #Suarez bid until or if we actually sign him. If we do, game-changing transfer on Bergkamp scale for Arsenal.

Interesting quotes from @Phil_Coutinho on Suarez: "We need to keep him as he is our Neymar." @LFC angry and bemused by Arsenal's tactics

There is no way @LFC will sell at that price. More will emerge after game with Melbourne. Suarez has indicated he wants to play some part

So much for the he has pulled out of the friendly stuff then

If he comes tonight I'm going to go nuts in the back stand (which is about 2,000 metres from the actually pitch at the G.

What if it's the other way around? Perhaps they don't have any real interest in him other than to make him unsettled?
They don't need to bid to unsettle him. He's as unsettled as they come. On a 1 to 10 Precarious Unsettlement scale, he's about 67 million.
They must be bidding because they know he would go there if we accept the bid, stands to reason. That's the way these things work.

To be fair, Henry isn't the most consistent, I remember him tweeting this a few pre-seasons ago when the team came to Malaysia:

John W. Henry @John_W_Henry
One missing link last year: Acquilani. Put the ball near Ngog and the goal and it's going in. Too much talk of them somewhere else.

Ngog and Aquilani didn't really stay long after that did they?

I don't see them going to 50m either, I'm not sure anyone will.

I do think our valuation will eventually drop to meet whatever is on the table

That tweet from Henry is boss.

I've little doubt it's been carefully planned for media impact & to make us fans like him, but I don't really care!
