Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Fuck off with your cliches.

A release clause exists for the benefit of the player, it was mentioned in the Bosman judgement that some certainty was needed for players to be able to know how they can get out of their contract.

We don't need a release clause to ask for 50m.

Anyway, I'm awaiting the big announcement ..... Any minute now

What cliche? I know why release clauses are there, they can be utilised both ways. I know why it was brought in and I know how it's used in respect to protecting players, that doesn't mean clubs can't use it to their advantage, I couldn't give a fuck where it's written, that's irrelevant.

You think Suarez signing a new contract is going to shut him up.

I'd say you're the naive one

No, you're naive for thinking that us saying "You're not for sale" will stop him from kicking and screaming, very naive. However if he signs a new contract, well why would he have signed it if he wants to leave? I'm pretty sure any contract being signed would be with an agreement that he knuckles down for the season and stops kicking up a fuss. There's nothing naive about believing that.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out the chance of more signings this summer.
That should be music to the ears of Liverpool fans who would have been petrified at the possibility of striker Luis Suarez moving to Spain, making the chances that he’ll stay at Anfield much stronger.

Ancelotti has also suggested that the club will not be letting striker Gonzalo Higuain leave this summer, which decreases the need for the Spanish club to go after a high profile striker who would subsequently replace the Argentine. “I think in general the atmosphere among the squad is good. I cannot talk about players who are not Madrid's,” said the Italian.
Real Madrid’s recent history has also suggested that when there is a player they want, they aggressively go after that player until they are able to force a transfer or until they have exhausted all avenues.

The fact that is not the case with regards to Suarez makes it less likely that he’ll end up in the Spanish capital before the end of the current transfer window.
“I have spoken with Gonzalo and I think it is a private conversation. Today, Higuain is a Madrid player - I am happy he is here and that is that,” he added.
Liverpool are always going to be a better team with Suarez in the side and in the squad and it’s very important for their chances of making the top four next season that he stays put and stays happy.

Ancelotti’s initial impression of the Real Madrid squad appears to be very positive, which means he doesn’t have to go and make several changes to balance the side out or to bring various sections of the squad closer together. Had he gone in to Real Madrid and found a squad at odds with each other in certain places, that may have forced him into axing one or two individuals which would have then increased the need to go and buy Suarez from Liverpool. The fact that’s not happened is beneficial for Liverpool because there isn’t that pressure on Ancelotti to make changes.

The fact Higuain looks like he’s going to stay at Real Madrid does make a club like Arsenal more likely to go after someone like Suarez, who the Gunners have already tried to sign, but Liverpool retain all of the power. Higuain’s future at Real Madrid could still change, not because the club want to sell him or the he wants to leave, but through necessity.

Real Madrid could still go after someone like Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Paris Saint-Germain, who would threaten Higuain’s position in the side and if he does eventually become available, that’s another factor which would keep Suarez at Anfield.

You're misunderstanding me. Nothing will stop him having his hissy fits.

So fuck him if he thinks he's getting another pay rise

It will for this transfer window, which is what we want. Let him go next season if thats what he still wants.

Needless to say I don't think it's a good idea to reward stroppy fuckers with new contracts every time they say they want a transfer.

Meanwhile, back in LFC's commercial offices:

GEEKS: Mr Ayre, Sir? We are pleased to confirm that, after weeks of hard work, we have successfully removed all traces of Luis Suarez from our print and digital advertising material for the 2013-14 season!

AYRE: Well done, lads. Now, er, put him back in, please.

GEEKS: Really???

AYRE: Um, probably. Possibly. Stay put - I'll get back to you.

GEEKS: But...But...we've ordered in celebratory pizzas!

Its written in the stars he will stay for one more season, knuckle down and score more in the league than anyone else.... Get us into CL on the Final day of the season then stay for the rest of his career.....

Hows about that then....

The reporting on this is shocking. I know, we shouldn't be surprised, but I'd be embarrassed if I wrote this steaming pile of turds.

The wantaway striker is set to make his first-team return against Melbourne Victory, but his manager says the Arsenal target could leave if the Reds receive a suitable offer
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has conceded that Luis Suarez could leave the club if a suitable offer is received.

The striker touched down in Melbourne on Sunday ahead of his first involvement in the Reds' pre-season tour after being afforded additional time off following June's Confederations Cup.

Suarez made his desire to leave Liverpool public last month - with Goal revealing Arsenal are set to test Liverpool's resolve with a £40 million offer after seeing a £35m bid rejected - and Rodgers had admitted he cannot rule out an Anfield exit for the Uruguayan.

"The reality is that he's a player who is very much valued at Liverpool and unless there's any sort of offer that comes in that is anywhere near his value, there's nothing to consider, and we haven't had that," Rodgers told the club's official website.

SUAREZ LATEST

"As we've always been as a club, I'm quite relaxed about it.

"We'll chat to him at some stage, like we do with all the players, but he's back, he's in great spirits and he's obviously an integral part of the group.
"You could see his closeness with his team-mates last night when they were all seeing him for the first time in a number of weeks.

"He'll join training today [Sunday] with all the other players and over the course of these next few weeks we'll communicate."

Rodgers said both Suarez and captain Steven Gerrard were expected to feature against A-League side Victory in front of a sell-out crowd at the MCG on Wednesday.

"The players aren't quite up to 90 minutes yet," Rodgers said. "For the game in Indonesia we played a team for around 60 minutes and then we looked to make changes.

"The players are only three weeks into their preparations but they'll all be involved; they'll all have some part to play."

More than 95,000 fans are expected to fill the MCG in what is set to be the biggest crowd the English giants have ever played in front of.

"We're very honoured to be playing at such an iconic sporting venue," he added.

"It's a great honour to play there and to be sold out is remarkable really but it doesn't surprise me because the support for this football club really is worldwide."

seriously , is there anything to this arsenal nonsense ? surely it's insanity to even think of moving there or for us to sell him to them .

I know LFC have made some stupid decisions(to put it nicely) over the years but I just can't for the life of me imagine them selling Suarez to Arsenal. There'd be a fucking riot.

i still reckon he'll go . Real will play their games and then bid in the next week or two .

You're giving me shite and then quoting the Metro??
The source they used also said Ramirez would sign for us...

Not at all, I like the twitter posts......just prefer you to quote the source so we can make up our own minds whether to believe it of not.
