Regardless, it's his job to be there and mop up those sort of situations. Lovren and Klavan have to do it, so does Henderson in the same areas of he pitch, and I don't see any of them repeatedly giving away freekicks on the edge of the box.

Lucas rarely ventures beyond the halfway line. He spends most of his time giving away clumsy free kicks around his own penalty area. There is no way he and Can are interchangeable.
That's simply not true unless you are talking about when he plays at CB.
Can was playing the holding role today and so bad he could have been interchanged with a turnip.

The referee's not taking enough stick for the second goal IMO. The free-kick which led to it should never have been given.

I've wanted Lucas gone for years. Never thought he's met the standards of a thoroughbred Liverpool player on the pitch why it has puzzled me greatly that he's managed to survive in the squad for so long manager after manager.. it's annoyed me even.
