Agger is out in the danish papers today claiming he would never do a Torres and play for another English club. If he is moving on it will be for another club in another country. He says he respects the club to much to wear a rivals shirt.
Meh

Almost word-for-word what Torres himself said in the not too distant past.

If the Torres affair taught us anything, it's that players should be judged by their actions, not their words. Agger's actions include running to the press every time he finds himself on the bench for a few games, and telling the world that he might need to consider a move if he doesn't get first team football.
Grumpy - more often than note, he's been misquoted ... It's like that time with Yossi - he didn't complain once, but since when does the truth sell?

the only quote I really remember from torres was when he said he was fucking off to spain but the tackles were too strong over here. obviously he meant 'AFTER' he is done with chelsea...

Hmmm I am more happy with him than most others. He is often interviewed by danish press around the internationals, but I dont see him as a attaention seeker.

That's exactly why I don't believe Reina's off.

Time will tell.

I'm all about Suarez these days. Silky touches and a super human will to win, it's and unstoppable combo. He's like Robbie fowler after a fortnight on the beds, with added sexy Latin flair to boot!

I'm still hoping pepe gives us one more season to see for himself if we've got our shit together. you can understand torres' urgency, he is 26 and I think he has about 3 years before his most potent weapon (his pace) leaves him but pepe EASILY has another 10 years if he looks after himself, one year wont kill him.

True. Now that Agger has gone through 2 weeks without being injured, people will forget all that.

He loves us again.

Yeah.

impossible to do but seperate yourself from being a fan try to put yourself in his shoes, where he has maybe 3 more years at the top level. 3 more years to attempt to win as many medals as he possibly can. he saw an opening and went for it, he has a shot at the CL (doubt it though with barca) and next year sees chelsea as title challengers. it was cuntish of him but I can see why he did it.

I'm glad the cunt's gone. I can say that with zero regret. It's like when your bird was always looking at some nobhead who you hate with obvious adoration. If she finally sucks his dick you only remember the bits where you thought she might. Fuck him and fuck Chelsea and fuck what he says and fuck what he thinks.

You're right, of course, that the press will look to twist words to suit a negative agenda - that's not bias against Liverpool, that's just the press. That said, I've heard the old 'pesky foreign reporters misquoted me!' thing once too often, and the fact you felt the need to include the caveat 'more often than not' speaks volumes.

Agger is a fine player, and I have no problem with him being here for the money and the chance to play for a big club. But loyalty only means anything if you display it in the hard times. If Hodgson were still boss and Wenger came sniffing, Agger would be off quicker than you can say 'injury prone', in my opinion at least.

As for Reina, mentioned by others in this thread, if he fucks off in the summer, especially to that shithole up the road, I doubt I'll ever believe a word a player says again.

Why wait until the inevitable heartbreak? Just stop believing any of the cunts now and you don't get the pain.

I fear you are probably right.

Hell, my excitement at the potential of Suso is already tempered by the knowledge that within a few years we'll probably have to suffer the 'of course it is flattering to be linked with a club like madrid/barcelona' quotes.

sigh.

Wouldn't it be nice if some foreign lad like Suso just became a die hard red and was like 'Madirid and Barca can bang it up their arses.' I thought Pepe was going to be the one. Damn him! great fella to have in the dressing room Pepe please don't go.

We're all out of Spaniards. I think the only one keeping Reina in Liverpool is Arteta.

As I've said for some time, whatever your views on individuals, never forget the main theme: footballers are cunts*

Who's the pitcher and who's the receiver?

It'll be good to know so I can get my mental picture right.

Having let some time pass, I just don't get it.

Chelsea aren't going to win the league, and they won't win the CL...

They have a rebuilding job to do, but if you want trophies quickly, there's other places to go...

They may spend more on their rebuilding though...but still, just don't get it...

Grumpy don't be quick to judge Agger. Could you really blame him for considering leaving when Roy treated him the way he did? Playing him out of position and benching him when fit?

Come on lad, I'd have Agger in my starting XI every day of the week if fit.

Agger is no Maldini but he is class!
