We're actually gonna be missing Endo during the winter as the Asian cup has come around this year....so we'll be losing Mo to AFCON for a month and Endo to the Asian cup for a month.

Winter break will help but given both are likely to go far in their respective tournaments, will still miss up to 4 league games + the FA cup game at Arsenal.

He's a good wee player, he's the player Joe Allen should've been. You don't produce stats like he did in the Bundesliga if you're not a good player.

Except Naby's problem wasn't that he was a bad player, it's that he was a crock and was never really available to showcase that.....the few times he played anyway he looked very good.

He wouldn't have made it even if he wasn't a crock. He had talent but didn't appear to have the right mentality to succeed at a big club.

The difference between the player described in the Bundesliga and what we actually got was night and day.

Endo deserves a run of games at six in the PL, and Mac deserves a chance in one of the eight roles

He's looking handy for £16m, but that cannot be the bench mark for sides wanting to win the PL. We need to see if can put in quality performances against better opposition.

😀, you'll be able to find at least one of those from just about every player to have laced up a pair of boots somewhere.

Thankfully he scored a few nice ones too.

that’s the only one I saw in the 2022 champions league final.

Didn’t watch the game, but seems like Endo was one of our better players once again. I think it’s already safe to say he is a clear improvement on (last season’s) Fabinho.

It is astonishing how bad fabinho was last season, so that isn't that useful a comparison, but Endo is doing a lot of basic things that the rest of our midfield doesn't do instinctively. He has some bite to how he plays too, and while it'll get him sent off eventually, I think it's a good thing to have in a side.

I dunno, he’s so respectful to refs I think it’ll take a hell of a lot.

I'm quickly falling in love with the guy.

Gives his all, true profession. Some would way he's exceeding expectations given not many knew he was and questioned the signing.

Some of his attributes are very underrated, rarely gives the ball away.

Virgil and Endo head and shoulders above the rest last night.

I think anyone willing to do even a little research could see he had the perfect attitude and the attributes we needed. The big question was would he handle the speed and physicality. So far it seems he might be able to and he certainly has continued his eye for a goal.
Our popularity must be exploding in Japan.

He gets stuck in, always eager, always running. What's there to not like?

I think one of the pundit mentioned when he first came, he took too many touches on the ball, which was true. Within a number of months, he has added alot of zip to his play, one touch to control, look up, and the ball has left his foot.

And his passing is pretty underrated, he does pass very well and he has the bravery to try a pass so as to break the lines, not your usual sideways or behind all the time. Not all midfielders have that composure and confidence, especially for someone so new to the team/league.

You can clearly see his improvement from his first few matches. He is at a level where he is a real option to start games.

I was thinking that even if, for some reason, we end up replacing him in the summer and he only ends up being a short-term fix, it was absolutely worth the money and a valuable lesson in not always having to wait for the so called "right" player.

I hope we heed that same lesson when it comes to the CB issue next month.

I love he wears a gum shield. It must put a bit of doubt in opponents mind!

I'm reasonably certain h's not that short term.

It's mad to compare him and his wage/transfer cost vs Caicedo who's been dreadful at Chelsea and Lavia who has yet to get out of the treatment room!

Cacedo - £115m + 8 x (52 x 150,000) = £177m over 8 years
Lavia - £58m + 7 x (52 x 45,000*) = £76m over 7 years
Endo - £16.2M + 4 x (52 x 50,000) = £26.6M over 4 years

*plus performance bonuses

100 million more for Caicedo looks a really bad deal so far, to put it mildly.

LegEndo is a boss.
