Mane is still learning. He has so much pace, as he showed in winning the pen, that should be his default attitude. He's complicating what should be a simple game.

Great to see Origi score. That lad has everything you need to be a fantastic player. When he hits form he's brilliant. Hopefully he's on his way again now after a mediocre period.

He almost always looks to chip it over, which works more often when we're at full strength cos firstly it's rare that he needs to be the one supplying the ball so happens much less often, & secondly cos we have players more suited to getting into the position to make something of it.

Henderson with a completed117 of 128 passes today, 6 key passes, won 4 out of 5 tackles and had 2 interceptions.

As for some sideways passing. With Sunderland defending that deep with so many players behind the ball, its kind of inviteable.

He certainly wasnt wank.

Try again.. How many of the 128 were forward? 6 key passes? What's the definition of a key pass?

I say again. Henderson very very rarely stands out on his own as a game changer. He does a job. But we can improve on him.

Yeah, he certainly hasnt been pivotal in regards to our success so far this season in that midfield role.
He's been excellent since the Burnley game.

His job is a holding midfielder in a 433. He's not meant to be a game changer. It's like judging a polar bear on its ability to fly a plane.

You're missing the point. Might as well play Lucas there if you want him to play like Henderson did today.
 
Not at all. I said in my first post i'm not his biggest fan, it's pretty obvious. I posted my ratings, agree with them disagree with them thats what a forum is all about. No? I gave him a 5 which said he was about average. Done? Good.

He's been just about OK for two games in a row. Can and Wijnaldum were a lot more productive than he was. Fuck his back passes, and fuck his fucking chips into the box as well.
Frustrated the shit out of me.

Some people scrape any negatives they can about players they have it in for. Our deep midfielder was certainly not the person to blame for a lack of cutting edge today. Hendo has been consistently great this season.
 
Don't care if you think it's about me holding some type of contempt against Henderson. I give him props when he does well.
When a CB (Matip) is more attack minded than him then something is clearly wrong.
 
People aren't seriously suggesting Henderson was anything but excellent? Mind boggles. He was everywhere and drove us on like nobody else.
 
He isnt though. If you cant see that Henderson has been a pivotal part of this team this season you're even more infected with Lucasingitous then first feared.
