The only way they should beat us in Rome is if they manage to bully the ref into giving one of our players a red card.

I wouldn't put it past them. But unfortunately their fans are going to believe they can turn this around and the atmosphere will be wild.

Fortunately, we've seen what happened to Barca, so we shouldn't be surprised or caught out.

Statistically, teams winning by a 3 goal margin in the first leg should go through 95% of the time. You know if this was a Mourinho team, they would kill that 2nd leg. We kind of need to do that. And not give away an early goal as we did against City.

Yeah, you have to have confidence we will score there. I'm sure they will put in a much better performance next time though, so it's how we handle being on the back foot against them. Concede two early goals and it's more or less back in their hands.

They conceded 5 against us and it could easily have been 7 or 8. Do you think they are going to be able to tighten up enough to stop us whilst also coming forward enough to score 3 or more ? I don't. We'll score at the very least once over there and they won't score 4.

It means we go there fully focused and ready for the tie v turn up thinking we gave won the tie already (which tbf at 5-0 we would have done)
A goal over there means they have to score 4 and that's a pretty big ask still

It's overall a good result. My gripe is that if it had stayed 5-0 we could have played a full strength team on Saturday, now we may need to rest a few.

And for those slating Lovren, he was immense for 80 mins. Yes, he needs to be immense for 90+, but he's not the end of the world

It's not normal for a team to actually absolutely end a two legged tie over one leg. Now when we don't, it feels like a loss? Why exactly? This was a good result. They have a mountain to climb while Salah is on their back with a knife at their throat.

Some of the cockiness at 5-0 was really starting to piss me off, a little bit of showboating started creeping in. That does my head in, if there's one thing guaranteed to gee up the opposition, it's ungraciously taking the piss out of them.

Nah, we went to fucking pieces very obviously, and they were all over us.

We battersd them for a good hour of the game, and should have scored more, but that last 10 minutes was a horror show
