I heard Klopp say earlier that Matip was due to take part in a couple of training sessions in the next few days for the first time but it was in all likelihood to soon for him to play on Sunday.
Maybe he is playing mind games.

Can I just that I cannot wait for this game, but at the same time I don't really want to watch it because the fear of losing this game is too much for my mind to take. The thought of losing them and that toddler faced manager of theirs is just overwhelming - I feel like maybe the best thing to do is just go to bed during the game and wake up and find out the result on the internet or MOTD2, rather go through the pain of watching it.

Does anyone else feel like this ? or is it just me having a fucking melt-down.

This is my forecast. Get to the bookies people! I'll post a pic of me of me in a compromising position for anyone to photoshop away. 😀 - If I'm right. can the mods change my name to 'smugtwat' - over to you 🙂

You are quite right my vertically endowed friend. Quell surprise: It's the Scummers Vs The Redmen weekend.

It's so fucking obvious this sort of thing comes out right at this particular moment. It's almost depressing how banal and vomit-inducingly annoying it all is. When this sort of thing happens it's time to play and fill your boots - Let's get the bets in. I'll give 3 possible outcomes from this weekends game and let's see if any come in.

First up - Let's study the form.

1) In the middle of a patchy spell. Utd in a purple patch - Top of the league no less. 2nd Vs 1st (who'd have thunk it!) . However it's at Anfield. I can't recall the last time they won at ours (you can almost hear Martin Tyler jizzing into his mic as he points out exactly when it was and gleefully adding into the equation the unbeaten at home LFC have enjoyed). Anyone remember the game in 1997? That's the last time we were toe to toe (apparently) That will get mentioned. Lots.

2) Dumb ass ref retrospect comments adding spice to the mix. A perfect seasoning for the pundits to bukkake over while they eat that cracker.

3) Injuries a plenty. Big ones too. Fodder for the excuse mob.

Nope make no mistake. This will be 1-2 to Utd. Possibly even 3-1 with a late (contentious goal to them) Someone will get either injured (them) A red card (us) - Some sort of 'tonic' to ease the bruise and swelling (it won't - It will just make it worse)

Sorry lads there is my crystal ball prediction. Utd to win. LFC to get a red card some kind of injury to one of theirs. It looks bad at first but he'll be playing again a week later.

Time to cash in.

Nah.

We didn't play well after breaks. We just won anyway.

That's not the same thing.

We arguably had spells last season with similar form to this, but we won regardless.

Ok if you must....

I’ll break it down for you by games after international breaks

Sept
Spurs (A) - 2-1 win. Absolutely battered them and should have won by more. First time winning there in 4 years!
Oct
Huddersfield Town (A) 1-0 win. We had heaps on injuries but held on for the win.
Nov
Watford (A) 0-3 battered then even with Henderson getting sent off
Mar
Spurs (H) 2-1 Played very well and deservedly won the game.
Sept
Newcastle (H) 3-1 absolutely battered them.
Oct
Man U (A) 1-1 The only game where we didn’t play well and still didn’t lose
Nov
Palace (A) 2-1 hard fought win where we usually struggle

We have dropped 2 pts over the last 2 years have battered most.

Klopp sounded confident and ready to go.
Think he has used Solskjærs comments for all that its worth.

We'll be ready tomorrow. And this break isnt the same as earlier. Its about a week off with just training and coaching, no travelling.
Think we'll be much improved.

Hold on - these are games after international breaks (where many of our players have been in training with their national teams - either playing or not), not games after we have had a break ? - is that right ? - because I am with @FoxForceFive on this - and it has been one of my main moans - when we have these breaks where players are not involved in any competitive matches then we generally have played quite badly. It's like they have lost their sharpness.
