I'm in the camp that says: at last we have a manager who has a really clear sense of his first choices, I recognise them to deserve to be first choices, and I'd rather he stick to that rather than settle for short term alternatives. It's frustrating as you say, but I look at the shape the team's taking and I'm all for it.

It's frustrating as you say, but I look at the shape the team's taking and I'm all for it.

And another pragmatic way of looking at it, this transfer committee or whatever the fuck it calls itself now, has proven itself expert at buying attacking players.

There's little reason to believe that will suddenly stop, so we may well end up with another great attacker in Coutinho's place & have a load of spare cash to throw at the defence too.
