Exactly, we've rotated very well so far this month, and I include todays game, it's going to massively benefit us when are best players are still fresh throughout Christmas and January.
I was trying to make this point yesterday. I'd rather finish 3rd/4th this season and have a great run in the CL, then going all out with players that havent got their fitness levels up for yesterdays game. The Everton game is just another 3 points in the end. Bragging rights would help us fuck all if Firmino or Coutinho would get injured and be out for 8 weeks.
Yeah maybe, but he didn't seem it...Mane ought to be one of the freshest players there.
Agree with most of your sentiment except you're a bit stingy with the marks; I'd give Robertson 7, Gomez 9, Lovren 5, Ox an 8 (I thought he was really good and he suits our game), Hendo a 6 and Solanke 5.Mignolet - 6 - Didn't have anything to do really, had no chance with the pen. Came out off his line once in the first half very well. Would have been higher had he had any saves to make of note.
Gomez - 8 - Played really well, and put in one or two beautiful crosses
Lovren - 3 - I don't even think he played well aside from the penalty, which of course was fucking retarded - par for the course for him really. Aside from the penalty, I thought that child with the shit hair Everton had up front got the best of him a couple of times, outmuscling him on a number of occasions. Lump the ball anywhere near him and he shits himself. Should've been sold about 3 years ago.
Klavan - 7 - Played well. Did everything Lovren didn't, you know, just do your job and not be a cunt.
Robertson - 6 - Offered an outlet constantly, but dithered a couple of times on the ball, ultimately crossing the ball to nobody a fair bit. We shouldn't really be crossing the ball at head height in games like this, but that's another discussion.
Henderson - 5 - I'm a fan of Henderson - well, I'm a fan of the Henderson from a few years ago. It's hard to tell if he's not that player anymore, or he's just playing a new role that he's totally unsuited to. Either way, he should not be playing as a deep-lying midfielder. He was poor in this match, taking too many touches early on, and making poor decisions when we were chasing a goal.
Milner - 6 - Worked hard, as always, but I'm struggling to remember anything he did of note. His best play comes when he's out wide on the left, so I'm surprised he's so set against playing there. He's not good enough at centre mid.
Chamberlain - 7 - Thought he did well. Worked hard, was all over the place, and showed glimpses of quality. Faded later in the game.
Salah - 8 - Magnificent goal out of nothing. That's what quality players can do, and the more of them you have on the pitch, the greater the chances of more goals when up against a stubborn, dogged defence like Everton's. It's quite simple, really. Not everything came off for him, but he gets an extra point for the goal which was sublime.
Mane - 5 - He was poor, and the chance to square the ball was just terrible decision making and greed. I'm not going to lose my rag with him because he's conjured up magic from nowhere plenty of times for us to get a pass this time, but he didn't have a good game.
Solanke - 4 - Thought he was dreadful. Was like playing with ten men.
Klopp - 2 - That team selection was utterly dreadful - but it's been done to death. Ultimately, he showed a lack of respect for Everton, Allardyce and the derby and it cost us. Allardyce's team talk would've been a whole lot easier upon seeing that team. There should be no mercy in the derby. Ever. Rest players for West Brom if you have to. The substitution of Salah at 1-0, while keeping the hapless Solanke on, was baffling.

I'm OK with Klopp not starting with Firmino and Coutinho - especially since we should have been two up and cruising at HT. But taking Salah off at 1-0 was criminal verging on arrogance.
He was already resting Firmino and Coutinho and didn't Salah get rested the game before ? No need whatsoever to take him off with the game still in the balance, it was an awful awful decision that may haver cost us 2 points.Considering we still have 3 more games before xmas, then Three more up to New years day before starting the New year With a New Derby I can understand the rational of trying to give Salah some rest. We have to rely on him in the coming weeks, and in a game were Everton couldn't string two passes together and looked nowhere near scoring it was a good game to rest him. When you have a player of Firmino's calibre to put on that is not where we lost the game (Points at least).
I don't think he looked knackered at all. Just because they changed formation and he was less involved doesn't mean he was tired. He was still by far our most dangerous outlet.I thought we subbed Salah off because he looked knackered. Not sure if that is at all arrogant.
That is what makes Lovrens decision making more infuriating. They needed to get a free kick or pen to get back into the game. Just play it safe and don’t fucking use your hands on the opponent’s back. It happens time and time again in the game. Just touch a player on the back they go down it’s a foul. It’s idiotic players keep doing it.
The guy fucking ran across Lovren and flung himself to the ground. He didn't push him at all. It was a disgraceful piece of play acting and fucking woeful refereeing. I'm no fan of Lovren but if you think he's to blame you need your fucking head examined.
See Klopp's post match interview ? He asked a packed room of journos who thought it was a penalty .. every single one of them did. Pro-Liverpool or not.The guy fucking ran across Lovren and flung himself to the ground. He didn't push him at all. It was a disgraceful piece of play acting and fucking woeful refereeing. As for Mane, yeah looking at them pics and after hearing what everyone said yesterday, he should have passed, but in real time did anyone expect him to?

I'm basing it on Klopp asking the question "who thought it was a penalty" ? ... and then looking around the room (obviously we can't see) and him saying "OK all of you" ....... Check the post-game interview. Maybe he was exaggerating but that is exactly what he said.No they did not. On what are you basing that claim? It's untrue. All the Everton hacks did - one of whom, by the way, was absolutely ridiculous in his childish behaviour throughout the conference, sitting right in Klopp's eyeline and sneering, shaking his head and muttering dismissively all the way through - and one or two others did. That's it.
The lad played for it, and it was soft, but Lovren has two hands on the lad's back and gives him a nudge. If it was at the other end, we'd be going ballistic if it wasn't given.
Calvert-Lewin is running away from goal and Lovren puts both hands on him inside the penalty area. It was completely retarded - something we see all too often from him.
