He had his headless chicken side, but "sh!t" is way OTT. On the few occasions he and Heskey played together they made a better combo than Owen and Heskey, playing well off one another instead of Heskey having to be just a hod-carrier. Baros did his bit in Istanbul too: he never let the opposition defence settle, his was the pass which played Stevie G through for the penalty and, last but defo not least, he stood his ground when Nesta tried to shoulder his way past him to get into the area and clear the ball after Dida saved the penalty in normal time. Those few seconds may well have enabled Alonso to get to the ball first, and the rest is history.

I know, he was also top scorer in the Euro national competition his country was involved in. To call him shit is just silly, under GH many players found it hard with his school teacher ways. Like you say, did his job in Istanbul.

Finnan Henchoz Matip (until last year, people thought he was shit) Riise (we thought he wasn't good until it took us 15 years to replace him)

Hendo (until the last few months) Whelan Redknapp Riera (very very good player).

Salah (me included here - I don't realize how fucking great he is) Rocket Ronny (was so important in our last title win)

I really loved Riera, and to this day have no idea how he suddenly vanished from our team.
