Liverpool related transfer speculation

He would be very welcome here, but I'd be kind of surprised Madrid would sell. On paper, he's played more games than Szobo this year and can play multiple positions. These links pop up in every window since he joined, the only real difference is now Mbappe has signed and maybe they need to shift some wages?

I really don't see us signing Tchouaméni, most likely he will end up at PSG or Man City, as they can give him the £400k a week.
If we did sign him, I can see a midfield of Ali, Grav and Tchoumeni. We need more pace and where would that come from?

Why do we need pace in central midfield?

I know nothing about him other than the basic details, but unless he's good enough to be a Salah replacement, or we've already determined Chiesa is Keita MkII, then I've no idea how we can accommodate another attacker. I'd generally prefer any player we sign to have two impressive years under their belt.

Diaz - 1-year decent numbers in Portugal - not prolific
Nunez -1 year decent numbers in Portugal - not prolific
Gakpo - 7 months of decent numbers in Holland - not prolific

Salah - two years of scoring one in two in Italy - record-breaking goal scorer.

That isn't to say anyone with two productive years will be the next Mo Salah - the point is if we are to supplement this forward line we should bank on them being clinical and efficient. There would need to be no ambiguity on whether it's worked out. We kinda need a superstar to emerge.

Luis Diaz had 3 years at Porto with over 20 G/A contributions. He was definitely bought with the right amount of productive seasons.
Gakpo had 3 years at PSV with enough G/A that a move could be justified given his output.

The only sore thumb here is Nunez. Which is a weird one for us given that we bought a player with minimal evidence that this was a prolific striker.

Diaz, Nunez and Gapko were playing for title challenging teams (scoring goals for fun) in their league though.

One thing for sure is, Marmoush has been improving season on season.

[Bundesliga only stats]
21/22 (1582 mins ~17.5 full appearances)
22 yr old, on loan at Stuttgart who escaped relegation play-offs (finished 15 out of 17) on GD, scored 3 and assisted 5 (20% goal involvement)

22/23 (1478 mins ~16 full appearances)
23 yr old, scored 5 and assisted 1 for a team that finished 8th and scored 57 times (GD +9) in the league (14% goal involvement)

23/24 (2313 mins ~26 full appearances)
24 yr old, scored 12 and assisted 6 for a team that finished 6th scored 51 times (GD +1) in the league (35% goal involvement)

24/25 (675 mins ~11 full appearances)
25 yr old, scored 9 and assisted 4 for a team currently placed 6th scored 16 (GD +4) times in the league (81% goal involvement)

+ there's more than goal involvement to gauge a player's contribution, obviously

To be fair to him he has more decent stats as a centre forward, 47 goals and 17 assists in 124 games.
Still not sure in terms of age and fee though.

Selling to Milan next summer for 20 mill if he hasn't contributed during the season is okay, but a move in January isn't a good one.

Is he fit? last i read, they wanted him to adjust to the intensity of the PL, he just couldn't keep up with the pace

Read Slots comments about lack of pre season and finding the right training set up for him. Expected to be back after the international break and hopefully be part of training during the international break.
People read this wrongly and label him a sicknote, but that is a very simple way of looking at it.

All this talk of who was doing what where before Liverpool is a load of fucking shite.

What fucker(s) are we signing in Jan?

If Slot can't even trust him to train at 100% then we need to just sack off and bring in someone who can contribute to our football club.

I still maintain that it is inexcusable for a professional athlete to let their fitness drop so much if they haven't been injured.

LB/CB, Robbo is nothing more than a squad player now, and we need more pace from somewhere because we sometimes are out paced by rivals
