Liverpool related transfer speculation

Pointless selling Doak. His value will only grow further still. After a decent PL loan, he'll be worth double that, if not more, and maybe more than good enough to be a squad player for us and kick on from there.

Doak lost nearly a year of his development to niggling injuries, so I believe he needs another full season of playing regularly at a good level before we assess whether he's good enough for Liverpool. Everything so far looks promising and I'd be loathed to give that up that chance for £15M. We got comfortably more than that for Carvalho after being sat on his arse for 6 months.

Our ears should prick up if the fee gets towards £30m and some add-ons.

Ipswich are interested in Doak aswell. Would make more sense to loan him out to a PL team for the rest of the season.

Remember when we tried to sign that shitty DM from Palace? What did they want, £75M?
We better be taking receipts.

Yes Ipswich £30 mill.
Palace? For you £50 mill.

why do city want marmoush? he plays mainly as a striker doesn’t he? they obviously never placed alvarez but you’d think they have several other priorities

Yeah, a bit of a weird one. He plays as a striker in a 4-4-2 for Frankfurt. Maybe they want to use him on the left.

They need to strengthen in every position, but that includes striker IMO. They're now finding out just how much of a flat track bully Haaland really is, and they have no stand-in for him anyway. Don't like saying it but I reckon this signing would make sense for them.

Nuno Mendes will have 12 months left on his contract this summer with PSG. 22 years old and would be a good fit for us at left back. Surely someone we should consider.
Linked to Utd btw.

He’ll be on the bench 95 % of the season.

Whats the point of signing him then, when that could be provided by a young player on less wages who might have the kegs to actually play for us and offer us a longer term option.

There’s a reason that 99% of top clubs don’t sign 36 year old CBs to pad out their squad. You might find a couple of old CBs still playing for a top clubs, but they’d likely have been amongst the top players in that position in their prime - even then, you could count them on one hand.
