Liverpool.. a view from a Chelsea Fan

"He says: “The evidence is the only competition that Chelsea have been in and haven’t won is the World Club Championship, and we got to the final and were unlucky… is there any other side in England that has won everything?”

Err, both us and United have done the same, right?
Yep exactly what I thought.

We haven't won the Premier League, which I guess he might mean

The fact that he didn't acknowledge United shows he's a thick cunt, who only supported Chelsea since the influx of roubles

Proper glory hunters.

That's bullshit. Those weather forecast things he did (about every club they went to as away fans) were meant to be a fucking joke.

Imagine losing your job coz you spazzed out once. Awful stuff.

"The FA is led by a corrupt man" probably isn't the wisest thing for a lawyer to be saying on camera.

I'm surprised he got sacked but not that arsed as he seems a right cunt anyway. That article about suing people since he was 17 was enough to make me despise him.

It's fundamental to any contract of employment that you don't conduct yourself in a way which discredits your employer. Even if it's not explicitly stated in the contract it'll be regarded as an implied term of that contract. No-one daft enough to behave this way on camera can reasonably complain about getting the boot, a lawyer least of all.

Yeah, I worked with & knew a load of people who got sacked from Littlewoods & RSA in about 2002, for simply sending on a stupid Simpsons porno gif.
I'd been sent it but hadn't forwarded it cos it was shit. If it'd have been something actually funny I'd have been sacked too.

I also had a lucky escape when it turned out someone who posted on koptalk was our Web manager in Littlewoods & didn't flag my excessive use of that site during company hours (my work was always done so I didn't think it an issue until he pointed out I could have been in serious shit).

People get sacked for plenty less in the name of corporate image. I think this fella's P45 was printed as soon as his boss said "We have many valued clients from Liverpool..." in his statement.

I find it beyond harsh in many cases that the way someone behaves outside of work should threaten their job, but if you know the rules then you can't complain if you break them & they're enforced, even if you think they're stupid rules.

Hahaha I remember that! How long ago was that mate? Must be over 10 years ago.

Yeah, probably ten or twelve years ago! Feels like a lifetime ago now like! I used to do ten minutes of work then five minutes on KT all day, but as I got my work done either on time or early without mistakes it was never looked into.

I fucking shit myself when the Web admin guy told me other people had been sacked for well less usage.

How did you figure this out?

I'm not saying it's political correctness gone footballer's wages or anything but it does seem there's a mob out waiting to get anyone who fucks up in the slightest.

Calling scousers scum when you've just been beaten 3-1 at home, it's not nice but it's understandable. It's forgiveable. No one hit anyone, no one got hurt. I bet tens of millions of worse things happened that day in the UK and went unprosecuted, from someone calling someone a cunt upwards. It's just he did it on camera and he got found on twitter. So the result of what's happened to him is totally disproportionate.

Anyways, fuck him, I'm not that arsed, it's just I'm more offended by the people who got their pitchforks out and grassed him up than I am by his stupid little rant.

It really isn't. Of course it's true that far worse things have happened, but what he did was an eminently sackable offence, for sheer stupidity if for no other reason, given that he would have known better than most what would be expected of him in the circs.in which he found himself.

I agree with that, it's his own fault, his employer has every right to sack him etc. But Boardman et al bombarding his work with tweets, emails and phonecalls shows a worse side of humanity than the one he showed in my opinion.

He's a grade a cunt. Stopped following him on Twitter after all the superfan stuff he comes out with.

It's about time someone was pulled up with this constant scouse scum jibe, newspaper proprietors, the Police, this guy and countless others in between. Scousers are rightly known for their sense of humour but this constant scum theme has tipped into abuse and it needs to be checked. It just has been.

This guy hasn't helped himself by implying corruption by officials who run the game, scousers might laugh it off, the FA obviously isn't laughing.

More likely he was sacked over this.
