I wonder who decided Downing should take the penalty. I'd have given it to Carroll as a reward for his all round contribution. Maybe it was given to Downing to try to help his confidence.

Hilarious first half. Shit penalty attempt. But comedy football from Chelsea. And why the fuck could we not have done this on Saturday.

This has been the complete opposite to our season overall...We've been poor defensively, but what the hell...who cares...our attacking play and passing have been superb!!

I thought this squad had quit on Kenny ... but I guess when the players care (either their pride, or their manager), they can compete.

England will have an outside chance at the Euro's playing Rooney in behind Carroll.

Just saying Roy.

I'm still not feeling all that safe at 3-0 in this match. Chelsea hit the post and the bar and there was a moment when Torres was left completely free at the far post but the ball never came. One goal for them and they'd be right back in it - especially because Carragher is playing and that always gives me cause for concern.

Great first half performance, Chelsea have been shit but we've took full advantage of their shitness so fair play.

Shit one Downing missing the penno but no real surprise. Suarez and Carroll are causing havoc and lovely finish by Henderson.

Oh and that first half showing from the worlds bravest footballer might just put The Hodge off taking him to the Euros. I hope he was watching.

We tried that with Andy before

That's the best 45 mins of football we've seen for years.

Desire, movement, skill. Great to watch

We've seen that a few times at Anfield this season. We just haven't been an clinical and deadly in front of goal, and had that bit of luck to boot.

Why in the name of everything that's holy could we not play like this last Saturday?
