Lfc Offensive Stats – 15/16

I'm not doing the goals + assists stats this year myself, but I took these stats from Transfermarkt and added the G+A category. This is from all competitions and includes only players with more than one G+A points. Hope these will help us with some perspective as we evaluate our player's attacking contributions this season.

Hard to read too much into those stats but Allen must be a bit aggrieved not getting much playing time compared to Can's contribution.

I reckon your extrapolations from those stats are probably a little more stupid than the stats themselves.

Without minutes played and taking the opposition into consideration, they are pretty meaningless anyway .. and I still think winning a penalty should count as an assist !

I could do minutes played, but then this table would be a bitch to update... I think most of us have a pretty good idea which players got more playing time this season.

If I would do the stats, I would count penalties won as assists - not that it would make a huge difference as we had very few this season!

I wasn't knocking you mate. Even the table you posted is fun to read but it just shouldn't be taken seriously until/unless all of the pertinent facts are included as part and parcel.

I wouldn't know I don't keep a track of them. Lucas has been one of our best players this season and anyone that thinks differently either doesn't watch our games or is biased against him.

They looked even worse before the 5-goal game. I'm surprised Milner is so high up the list in his offensive contribution.

I think I saw something about a month ago about him being top of the league in that, again. Not sure if that's still the case.
