Midfield showing why we need to buy a new midfield but Diaz, so ineffective and light weight at times. Get Jota on (assuming on brench?)

People saying that wasn’t a red is bonkers that was dangerous play full stop

He was also last man for fucks sake. It could be given a red for both dangerous play AND for the fact hat Gakpo would have been clean through.

Frustrating game so far. Diaz seeing a lot of the ball but doing fuck all with it. Gakpo and Salah anonymous. The midfield can't cope with Henderson and Fabinho looking like pensioners again. I can see Konate getting a second yellow. Someone said it earlier, he's reckless.

Hopefully Jota comes on and sparks the attack into life.

Neither Diaz nor Salah can beat a man either with pace or skill. It’s a real problem.

I think theres context to this... Both wingers are being double and sometimes triple marked as soon as they get the ball. Not only that when that's happening there's not enough support or intelligent movement of the other players to counter this. This is on Klopp to instruct better movement and to change the overall tactics more so than Salah and Diaz not being good enough.

The ref, John Brooks, was the 4th official that Klopp ran up to in the Spurs game. Strange that he is given this game after the last week with the FA.

Salah and Diaz lost the ball a handful of times between them in 1v1 situations, isolated and in space in a couple of them. That's where you want your wingers. They should have done more.
