Experts in the studio over here. Konsa plays the ball and the goal should have been given.

Yea that was my take but apparently Konsa needs to deliberately play it in that direction. Be interested to hear what the ex refs say.

I’m glad Fabinho had proved his decent couple of matches were only a temporary thing

Yes he needs replacing, so the last thing we need is Klopp thinking a couple of half decent performances at the tail end of the season mean he's rediscovered his form and is back to his best.

Both Hendo and Fab cannot play two games per week at the highest level anymore.

Is that the first time we have failed to win the final home match under Klopp? I can't think of another ... maybe in his first season?

Id genuinely rather win the EL than qualify for the CL and have a repeat what happened to us this season.

I was against it a while ago, but fuck it, Europa is fun. Get another European success under our belt pls

It can be a fun competition as long as we arent stupid enough to think we can play our first team players every Thursday/Sunday and not suffer an inevitable dip in performances. If none of the below are even named in a squad until the quarter finals I'm OK with Europa

Allison, Trent, Virgil, Robbo, Thiago, Salah, Diaz

Thanks for Europa. Will we defeat wolfsberger? And yes, that's a real team, it's not a burger made out of wolf served in Bavaria. But you weren't quite sure...and no, they were in the conference league, and i think that's really the point, isn't it. Europa starts to look good when you're staring at west hams sloppy seconds...

A competition so intertotally pointless that moyesy could actually win it, might actually serve that one purpose for rubes.

But nah, even that doesn't totally work. Europa is still shit. It pays nothing, but it costs more than the real thing. Klopp says he's not too spoilt to care about it but I'm afraid thanks to klopp, I am.

The only good part is I don't see this team being ready for a significant cl run next year anyway, so what's the point.

Winning the Europa league gives you a CL spot isn't it? It is an "easier" way to CL qualification looking as we have at least 4-5 domestic clubs who can spend alot more than us.

Moysey can win Europa Conference league, not the Europa league.
And that was also were Wolfsberger played this season.

The Europa league is at least a bit better. Its the Sevilla tournament.

Of coarse win europa league is better than just finishing top 4.. Football is about winning stuff otherwise you are just spurs
Yep, I think we should try win the Europa IA.

Although they need to bring the old anthem back.

This 1, I miss it.

Dermot Gallagher speaking on Ref Watch:
"This is a very tough law to interpret. It's all about if the player makes a genuine attempt to play the ball.
"Does he go to block the ball, does it strike him?
"If you look at this incident, the VAR can't decide he has to send the referee to the monitor because it has to be the referee's decision and it has to be subjective.
"The issue is because Van Dijk is in front of the ball when Diaz plays the ball. He only becomes active when the ball strikes Konsa.
"So the argument is whether Konsa made a genuine attempt to play the ball. Is it a block a genuine attempt to play the ball by Konsa?
"A block is a block. A genuine attempt to play the ball is to take the ball under control, clear it for a corner or to clear it up field.
"The referee has to second guess the player's [Konsa] intention. The law as it is written doesn't help the officials. If I was that player I would probably be upset."

Mings lucky to stay on the field'

Dermot Gallagher speaking on Ref Watch:
"I thought it was a red card. I can't explain anymore.
"There's stud marks all up his chest, he caught him at the top of his chest. He'll say he got the ball but that doesn't negate that as we saw with Casemiro earlier in the season.
"For me if you put your studs that high into someone's chest you are lucky to stay on the field.
"When you are face to face on the field you can't do that".

I'm annoyed by that; usually because i completely disagree with gallagher because he transparently tows the PGMOL line.

Now i don't know what to think.

From what i've seen however, konsa plays the ball. It's no different to Mo's goal against wolves in the FA cup(?) with regards to the rules.

Can we agree that that Ming is the player we should hate most ? - where was all that passion and desire to defend in the last game of their last season ? - where was it ?

The problem I sometimes think we always have at Liverpool is that these other sub-standard players probably believe they have a great chance of being signed-up if they play well against us. I get the feeling Liverpool gives them hope but they know that they will never be able to get a contract at the likes of United or City. But with us - it must be easy, always thought that.
