Let’s outfox them!!

Still have a feeling Leeds will somehow shit house their way to safety or Leicester will find the passion from somewhere.

West Ham play both.
The Hammers have nothing to play for, and a Europa Semi Final two days before Leeds. Hopefully they get into the Final, and rest the entire first 11.

Leicester's other game is Newcastle at St. James, so that's a 9-0 drubbing there, or so they wish. Leeds have Spurs at home on the last day. Let's see how that goes.

That was one of our better midfield performances this season. Fabinho nipping at peoples heels and actually getting the ball rather than the man was nice to see and Henderson got around the pitch pretty well as well. Good to see Jones continuing to play well as well.

Diaz was the most disappointing on the night. I don't want to be too critical as he's coming back off a long lay off but was hoping to see more from him on his return to the team. Hopefully he can get back to being a main character next season.

Lastly, a word on TAA. I think his performance tonight was a good showcase of his strengths and weaknesses. We know that he can be unplayable when afforded time and space. It's more interesting to see how he performs in midfield when he's got to act quickyl and on a few occasions he turned / dribbled into trouble and some of the short passing / layoffs were also a bit iffy. All in all a good performace capped by brilliant goal but unlike others who are chomping at the bit to see him transition permanently to CM, I still have my doubts as to whether it'd be as seamless as some think.

I’m with you - I think this hybrid system utilises his abilities best and helps give him the space and time he needs to tear teams apart from deep.

I don’t think the results are replicated with him in a different. I don’t think it would work anywhere near as well if he’s in a more fixed midfield role.

What’s up with Donkey brain - didn’t make the bench?

At one stage I thought he had a twin on the pitch, his most mobile performance in a long time
He could be showing a bit more quality on the ball but I think he’s at the stage in his career where now where he’s just happy to keep it moving along and sweeping up loose balls, and letting the players in front of him do what they do.

Diaz only had one bright moment, he's definitely not match fit yet, but I thought Gakpo was horrible. We can't be having a ball-hogging false 9 that also gets dispossessed. He fucked up our counters and was generally really slow in the head. I'm really going to miss Bobby.

Jones’s first goal was similar to the one he scored against Spurs, wasn’t it? Lad’s coming into his own now and cost nothing to boot.
If Salah had shown this level of selflessness earlier in the season, we’d comfortably have been above Newcastle.

Not much point in being critical with how Diaz played. Its bound to be that sort of impact while he plays himself into form and match fitness after such a long lay off.

Yeah I instantly thought Spurs when he scored that.....same position, same assist, same technique.

No point crying over spilt milk now, only thing that matters now is winning these last 2 games.

Getting there, still giving away few niggly fouls here and there but he used his body nicely to get away from players closing him down a few times which is shades of Fab of old, and he's always been quality on the ball.
