Watching this Match and other clips. he looks like a great ball hog, a little like Phillipe, but without the ability to get in and out of tight spaces. He's more likely to check back., than coutiniho who will find a way through two players. Crossing looks like he's got less quality than Raheem. Definitely a step up from Rafa's wingers, but not a match winner in my eyes (but what do I know!). He's missing the ability to get through those defenses with those runs. He writes: Liverpool may finally have something to smile about this transfer window by landing Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Sources in Ukraine this morning say a £16million deal for the Dnipro winger is "ready to be completed".
Liverpool MD Ian Ayre is in Ukraine leading the Reds' negotiations and it is believed he is close to striking a deal with Dnipro and the player.
Konoplyanka will be offered a four-and-a-half year deal worth £60,000-a-week to come to Anfield.
Liverpool will be relieved and delighted if they can get the Ukraine international over the line after their disappointments during this transfer window.
