The Dutchman trained with the Premier League giants last week as a host of top clubs monitor him.

Manager Kevin Wilkin confirmed Roos has trained with other teams, believed to include Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town.

Wilkin said: “Kelle has trained with a few teams with a view to a move back into the full-time game.

“I’ve got no problem with it.

“He’s kept his focus very well and been excellent for us.

“I’ve known all along he wanted to move to a big club.”

Roos joined Boro in November and has gone on to keep seven clean sheets in 12 games.

Everton, Sunderland, Cardiff and Crystal Palace have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

He was put up for sale last week, along with top scorer Louis Moult.

Inquiries have been invited for the rest of the squad.

[article]A host of league clubs are battling to sign non-league goalkeeping star Kelle Roos.

The 21-year-old is currently with Nuneaton Town, who he joined in November on a deal until the end of the season.

Roos was a highly-rated youngster at PSV Eindhoven and a Dutch youth international before injuries halted his progress and he had spells with top-flight clubs Willem II Tilburg and NEC Nijmegen.

Roos decided to move to England, but it is believed that he could not join a club in the Football League as the window had closed, which is why he accepted a move to Conference side Nuneaton.

But he is now set for a transfer in January after producing a string of top performances.

He kept six successive clean sheets in his first six games, and now boasts seven clean sheets in nine appearances, which has led to a host of clubs sending scouts to check on him.

Sky Sports understands that clubs from the Premier League to League Two are showing an interest in signing him, including Everton, Sunderland, Cardiff and Coventry.

His agent Lee Payne of Full Contact told Sky Sports: "Kelle has done wonderfully well since coming to England, he has settled at Nuneaton and put in a number of very good performances.

"He has a great pedigree, and is thought of highly in Holland so I am not surprised to hear that there may be a lot of interest in him."[/article]
