Timo Horn plays for a team that got relegated and have been in relegation scrap for most of the time, its not strange that he has conceded a lot of goals.
That said, I dont think he's good enough.

We need a top GK. Not another one thats on par with what we got.

Have seen Horn play a fair few times this season, not impressed, I would much prefer us sign Leno.

Maddock saying in the Mirror that Klopp has asked us to pull out of the Alisson deal as it's just too expensive.

So 57m was ok but approx 70m is 'feck off!'? Anybody else worried that, if that's true, we're walking away over a pittance, when viewed in the grand scheme of things..?

A decent keeper could've made the difference this past season between clinging on to top 4 and putting up a decent challenge for the title. Not to mention possibly winning the champions league had we had anything other than a wet lettuce in goal.

A good keeper is a must for any good team. We've been getting punished for too long for sticking with second-rate goalkeepers. Pay the big money for Oblak, or Alisson if he's good enough.

Mentions McCarthy, Pope and Timo Horn as possible alternatives.

Also suggests that Klopp might just decide to use Danny Ward.
I don't doubt that he, like the rest of the journos who have contacts at the club pass on genuine information but it is also possible that he is been fed disinformation.
Only time will tell I guess

Not that I believe in these rumours, but after Alisson, we seem to be scrounging around the bargain bin for a keeper. That'll end well.

Can anyone blame us ? I mean 60M for a fucking goalkeeper ... we are not man united where the goalkeeper is gonna see so much action....we just need someone competent in that position...how hard can it be ?

We didn't have any qualms spunking £75m on a defender did we? So if a world class keeper costs us £60m so be it. We earned e following last yr. £142m from Coutinho 's sale, about the same from coming 4th in the league and around £75m in e champions league run, that's not even including overseas TV rights or gate receipt income. So sorry if I say pay the £60m because we can clearly afford it

Roma need to sell players (due to financial reasons) and so far we're the only ones seriously interested in Allison. The player himself has remained professionally quiet and will probably remain so until the end of the WC campaign. He could force the situation by declaring his favoured club (and hopefully he will do that after the WC).

[article]And now according to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Alisson has agreed a deal to join Los Blancos.[/article]

If true, I hope he has a shit world cup

Dortmund use to give away players to their rivals. How do you stop it if the buying club has met the release clause?
The player in question has very strong ties with the supporters (wasn’t there an occasion where he could have left but stayed to help the club?). No way will he play for Athletico’s neighbors. It’s the same kind of animosity between supporters there as here with Everton (only they’re both top 3 clubs nowadays). Very different to Dortmund and Bayern.

Offer 60-70 for Dembele or Martial. Either of them makes us far far more dangerous.
Give up on Dembele! He has shown his class during the friendlies and will shine during the WC. There's no way they'll let him go for £100m let alone £70m. You can forget about Martial too, the Mancs will not sell to us ever (unless it's something stupidly ridiculous)

RM biggest rival is Barca and yet they managed to take Figo off them.
AM are a selling club, I'm sure they would rather sell to outside Spain's top two but often the case is Barca and RM offer the most cash. Player loyalty can be bought. Look at Sol Campbell

No, Figo’s different. Again, the player in question has a strong bond with their supporters. The only top rival they’ll sell to is Barca. It’s pretty much a fact.
