He'll get banned and also gave away a penalty.

But remind yourselves who was responsible for the 2 goals that earned us a point today.. .

Daniel Sturridge?

Nobody is disputing Suarez is a good player, thats not the issue, at all. People are questioning whether his constant courting of controversy and what looks set to be another lengthy ban is worth the hassle of keeping him. Our team is not good enough to have its best player sit out 25% of our league games just because he is a gigantic baby who cant control himself

Gareth Southgate alarmed to hear Suarez still 'hungry enough to eat a horse'.

So what? You aren't meant to tackle at knee height, like that Wigan player did, or stamp on people, like Aguero did last week. Both of those are FAR more dangerous but there's vastly less (if any) fuss about them. "Double standards" doesn't begin to cover it.

I was just pointing out that using your teeth isn't a very conventional way of winning the ball back. That's all.

Didn't say it was dangerous or anything

Wtf are you talking about precedent and shite like that? I'm not saying Suarez should get this punishment or that punishment.
I'm making the point that people are going to get worked up about a footballer biting another footballer and it's going to make the headlines and will get people talking so it's hardly OTT.

I dont know why you've felt the need to get involved and go throwing around needless insults. Maybe you think you need to do that to add a bit of gloss to your posts i dont know.

I felt the need to get involved because in y opinion, there's a needless ott reaction to this.

I'm talking about precedent because its normal whe something happens like this, to look back at previous punishments. It's not that hard is it?

We should sell him. He wouldn't know gentlemanly conduct if it shook him firmly by the hand and offered him a woodbine.

This is a stupid discussion.
We should be talking about why Rodgers didn't start Sturridge, and where's the man of the match thread?

Some of the hysterical reactions on here are worthy of a paper that we don't like.

John Terry got 4 games for racism.

Defoe got booked for biting.

SCM hystericals - 10 game ban, 8 game ban, sell him, he's a cunt, that's next season done etc etc etc

Fucking bell whiffs.

Surprised he wasn't compared to Thatcher. Get a fucking grip FFS.

Terry and Defoe are English and it does influence these disciplinary cases, also the referee booked the latter during that particular game so no further action could be taken, whereas Suarez will have the book thrown at him, unfortunately for us, and it's more to do with the reaction in the media than the actual severity of the 'injury'.

No way should we sell him. Fuck that
No shit. The reactions are like someone else said a bit OTT.

I'd rather have Suarez bite me than someone breaking my leg on the pitch.
He should get a hefty fine, that's all.

It don't think it matters that no one got hurt, biting is there with spitting as something only cunts do in a football match. I'd also prefer not to be bitten given the risk of infection with human bites..

There's antibiotics for that.
Also, he's our cunt and he's a winner. He's the last player I'd get rid of.

In fairness I dont think the Defoe incident can be used as precedence. He probably should have got a red but because the ref viewed it as a yellow the FA could do nothing about it.

I can understand why people are being a bit OTT about this @Spionkop69 - He's our best player and it's obvious the FA will throw the book at him. I'd be amazed if he doesn't get at least 7-10 game ban. Not because he particularly deserves it - I'm just saying that because it's him and his past and because the FA love a bit of controversy. He's going to reap the thunder and we as a club are going to suffer because of it. It goes without saying though I hope I'm wrong. I often am when it come to football stuff.

If you want to know how to make a perfect hollandaise sauce or if I think Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel will be the better of the super hero movies this summer. I'm your man. 😉

Absolutly not. But we werent talking about 7-10 games ban back then either.

Suarez cant be defended today. No way is that possible. But the ban shouldnt be more than 2-4 games.

Fucked us up the arse - sorry I know you get a hard-on when reading bad English.

Regarding the 23 goals he has scored - yes I am pleased but the guy is constantly in trouble and causing issues for us - and it happens quite a bit when he gets frustrated in a game. Given that the rest of our team is pretty shit, I think he will get feelings of frustration quite a bit in nearly every game we play and then that will force him to do something crazy like he did today. It's in his nature, and there is a high aggression element in him. I think someone on here or somewhere posted that he was thinking of getting into boxing before deciding on football - kind of explains the aggression in him.

"Constantly" my hairy @rse. The only thing that's been constant about Luis Suarez this season has been his excellence.

Yes, he was a fucking idiot today and it's inexcusable. But people, he is one of the best players in the world - we're not getting someone like this for a long time. Selling him now - and buying players who won't be at his level (and shaking the boat with the players who want to play with him) - is saying we will not be returning to the 4th place race for 3-5 years until our next batch of youngsters mature.

KEEP THE BITING CUNT.

I haven't liked a player like this since Robbie.

There's antibiotics for that.
Also, he's our cunt and he's a winner. He's the last player I'd get rid of.

Still the point stands biting is not a nice thing, I wouldn't want hepatitis from some nobhead biting me. Yes he's our cunt but he's a well paid employee of Liverpool football club and he's not doing his employers any favours.

Lets get things clear, the bite IS wrong, it the reaction to it, especially from some on here is frankly despairing. You get wound up when Sky have their agenda in post match interviews and now some are dong the same thing as the likes of Shreeves.

It would seem some are suggesting a lengthy ban because its Suarez. That's simply madness and as I've said previously worthy of a journalist from *that* paper.

Have a word with yourselves.

I'm not saying he should get a lengthy ban, I'm saying if he does get a lengthy ban. I don't want us to sell him but I can see FSG wanting rid. And saying the FA set a precedent with Defoe means fuck all. Since when did the FA show consistency with anything?

If he's anything like a man he'd apologize to Ivanovic, his Manager, team mates and employer.

If I was owner I'd insist on it. The Club must show itself responsible for it's employees actions.
