Lovely flick, but am I alone in thinking Jussi should've saved that?
[/quote]

Certainly not, he should have saved it but thank fuck he didnt.

Maxi should have buried it.

Also, this is the thing with those saying we should get rid of Torres... it isn't all about efficiency, not only does Torres produce, he also does things worth watching again and again, and we've almost no players who do that.

Edit: 0 - Liverpool haven't scored a PL goal that wasn’t either scored or assisted by Gerrard or Torres since Aug 15. Bewitched.

Lucky goal. Shot directly at the goalie when he has so much space and time to shoot.

We should aspire to have players like Torres playing for us in every position.

It's quite simple.

Any goal he scores will always be lucky because he has absolutely no commitment and just aimlessly pushes the ball in the general direction of the goal, thats why so many of his efforts get blocked, he just hits it straight and hopes for the best

Is that just your opinion or is there any empirical evidence to support your assertion? Or are you just trying to bait someone into responding with this ridiculous statement of yours. Was the goal he scored against us for Atletico a "lucky goal"? Was the screamer he scored for Argentina against Mexico in the '06 World Cup devoid of "commitment" and "aimlessly pushed in the general direction of the goal"?

Maxi was one of our better players towards the tail end of last season and quite a few people on here praised his movement and intelligence. He started this season poorly (like most of the others in the team) and that was in no small measure due to Roy's abysmally poor tactics.

I can't believe anyone wants to knock a winning goal.

It could have bounced off his tumescent dick; any winning goal is beautiful.

Some commentators have tried to suggest that the flick by Torres was done more in hope than in expectation. I believe the Spanish word for that is "cojones".

empirical evidence to support the idea that somebody is lucky/heartless is somewhat difficlt to come by as its an unquatifiable measurement

and no he wasnt always shite the goal he scored in 06 was a beauty but im not that bothered about what he did for other teams im more concerned about his performances in a liverpool shrt which have been wretched

his great performances at the tail end of last season yielded 1 goal from 17starts, and that was his golden period

No evidence - so it's your opinion then.

His goal ratio that you quoted, was not what you were trying to argue earlier.

of course its an opinion, almost everything footbll related is opinion, much like other peoples assertion that he was great toward the end of last season which you quoted as some sort of proof of his massive contribution, an opinion that isnt borne out by the facts at all

NO he was not. He's just an average midfield player. He's not good enough.
