I havent seen much of Jovanovic at all, not even during the world cup. Where is he going to fit into the team? Who will give way?
I presume he will play up front with Torres with 69 goals in 146 appearances for Liege .

regards

I think Kuyt's goalscoring record was even better than that - and look where he ended up.

hmmmmm it was actually better

Agreed, and he's versatile, and he's clearly set on joining LFC. He deserves the same leeway we've been talking about giving Roy.

shouldn't the official site be announcing this today?

I'm not sure Ian Cotton can handle all this work
Not now he can't because he was made redundant I believe

Judging by the interview he signed a few weeks ago. He mentions that he didn't sign an "pre-agreement to sign", as rumoured, he actually officially signed.

He looks quality and I like that he is determined to make an impact by getting into shape. He wants to hit the ground running. I like his pro attitude!

I'm hoping that he makes an instant impact. We have a tough start against the Gooners. A winning start will give the lads instant belief!

Good news. Mobile, direct, pacy, scores goals.

Perhaps a decent free for us.

Rebel will like the first one:

1) He is nicknamed 'le serpent' which translates as the snake.

2) He knows all about the famous Anfield atmosphere after appearing as an 87th minute substitute in Standard Liege's 1-0 extra-time defeat against the Reds during a 2008-09 Champions League qualifier.

3) He was born on April 18, 1981 and shares a birthday with actress Hayley Mills, Casino star James Woods and former red Danny Guthrie.

4) He has already endeared himself to the red half of the city following his reaction to speculation about a potential move to Everton. He is reported to have said: "Everton aren't a big club. That club I have turned down already."

5) He isn't the first player to swap Liege for Liverpool. Back in 1990 Kenny Dalglish swooped to bring Israeli hot-shot Ronny Rosenthal in on loan and he helped inspire the Reds to an 18th league title.

6) 'Jova' is renowned for his great voice and friends have suggested he could have a career as a professional singer when he hangs up his boots.

7) He can often be heard listening to the No Smoking Orchestra, a band that were formed in the former Republic of Yugoslavia.

8) The Serbia international has identified Barcelona's Lionel Messi as the best player in the world and admits to being a huge fan of Dragan Stojkovic during his younger years.

9) His favourite film is the 1982 Serbian comedy, Tesna Koza. It tells the story of a low-level clerk struggling to make the money he needs to keep up with the demands of his family.

He's not even trying to distance himself from Voronin comparisons..

Sexy gilet Milan...

Anyway, despite his horrendous dress sense i'm glad we've signed him, decent player

Yes. I like this signing.

No if we only could off load El Zhar, Insua, Lucas and Ngog this transfer window would be a great success!

Welcome Jovanovic! Please don't be really shit. In fact, it would be nice if you turned out to be excellent!

*fingers crossed*
