Jose

Yes, and after two seasons, the rumors would start that he's wanted by another club. He'll always be Chelsea's manager to me..

Ah yes, there's this, a reminder..

Not to mention the ghost goal mullarkey

Ferguson would shit himself if Mourinho became Liverpool's manager in the summer
^^

Rather than give Rafa another £20m/£30m to buy some more players (even out of sale proceeds) - give it to him to leave and hope that Jose can get more out of our current squad than Rafa has - which I believe is possible.

[I nkow it's been quoted as £30m today in the Times but there probably wouldn't be a need to immediately sack ALL of Rafa's huge backroom team right away - unless it's written into their contracts they get paid off if he does]

jose would only come if he recieved a proper spending budget not a 'sell to buy' budget which was clearly the case for rafa last summer.
I would say his style would probably fit in better here than that of Rafa in a way.
rafa's and jose style of play is practically identical.
But, & a huge BUT, Mourinho gets more out of his players. A lot more. They love him & play for him like noone else, end of.
The idea that their style of play is "identical" is only a half-truth anyway. It applied when Jose first arrived at Chelsea and had a squad to build. Once that was done, they played some great football.
That's possible, but definitely not nailed on. I'm sure I read an interview with him somewhere in which he said his next move would probably be back to English football.

He has a fairly similar approach to Rafa. Chelsea only really played particularly attractive attacking football when they had incredible individual talent on the wings at their very best.

the difference with jose and rafa is he spotted what the team needed and was given a huge sum to go and those players, rafa on the other hand had to sell to buy gradually improve his squad. how much has rafa spent 228m I think if he were given half that amount in one go and not forced to all anyone to make up that figure you would have seen totally different purchases.

if jose came here he would be under the tight money constrainst he faced in portugual and he would have to sell to buy, something he hasn't had to do in ages.

that isn't true. mourinho used the team that was already in place to its full potential. and then the players he bought added something extra. so they moved forward in a big way

benitez knew from the begining there was not much money. but he still set out to fuck off the entire squad one by one, and replace them one by one. so he's wasted 6 years to get to that point (i.e. back to where we started from, so good work on that one you stupid fucking retard). and now that we're here he's the only one to blame

jose inherited a top 2 team that were runners up in the league and the CL and was given a huge lump sum of money to buy carveleo(sp) essien, drogba and SWP whilst not being forced to sell anyone to do it, if you say that is comparable with the situation rafa inherited then I'll leave it there.

I think rafa is far from perfect but what happened in the summer was BULLSHIT. liverpool came second so instead of truly backing him so the team could push on all the money for signings came from sales. the owners are idiots they will watch their investment go down the toilet because they wont speculate to accumulate.

Because he worked miracles at Villareal, and plays some really decent football. You don't just get handed the Madrid job for nothing. If he were to leave Madrid this summer he should be seriously considered.

Wouldn't disagree, but that differs from my point how exactly?
I'm just making the point it's doubtful he'd be able to afford two amazing wingers to replicate that here.

The first moment I thought he was awesome. Sadly also apparently the moment Liverpool decided not to go after him.
Same here I loved it. The boardroom didnt like it though. We should of got him then.

A born fucking winner.

I love him and his attitude. He'd make us nasty - something all winners need to be.

Scum, Chavs, Arsenal (invincibles) - arrogant, nasty and born to win.

Along with Ramos? Schuster? Come on - Real have had loads of shite/average managers. Pellegrini doesn't speak English and looks like he ought to be in bed in a retirement home.

I wouldn't say Arsenal are arrogant or nasty. Wenger may be an old woman but they are a decent club.

IMHO

Yeah....

Barca's players especially that little Messi-fella is one nasty bugger isn't he?

I really hate how some people always seems to think there's some golden connection between beeing a right nasty, arrogant prick and a winner.

It's pathetic and a path I dearly hope we stay well clear off. Just because some 'winners' are acting like they are the center of the fucking universe doesn't make it any less cringe-worthy.
