Sheik- is your avatar you with hair?

It is Doc.
Thought so.

Was the smile that gave it away.

*shudders*
It's not really Doc.
Well it looks like you.

It looks like a cross of Willem Defoe and Messi.

P.s. Who'd give a fuck if Mourinho was a dickhead if he brought us the title.

OUT. GET OUT YOU JEZEBEL.

And you can hand that Liverpool badge in before you do sunshine

I went offline and came back to see that after my response. It's all been summed up by other posters anyway so I won't say anymore on it.

I used to quite like Mourinho until he did that shush thing. But he is a great manager, no doubt. There is pretty slim pickings at the moment in terms of managers who would come to us and do a good job, so it might be worth biting the bullet and going for Mourinho and putting any personal differences aside if he was up for it. Not an easy choice, though.

I have fully supported Rafa since he came, and I still do, in that I respect everything he's done. I think his legacy will be the youth that's coming through.

But you know what, I'd love to see a manager who shows joy when we score. A silly thing, I know, but I would.

It's not silly Doc, I said that the other day Sammy is jumping around while Rafa scribbles,

I wouldn't get upset about the shush thing , he had been taking unmerciful stick, and I quite like a manger with a bit of an edge like that

Yeah that's true. It would be hypocritical of me actually to lambast him for that, while I loved him running down the touchline at Old Trafford.

I'd be happy with Mourinho.

The club needs an injection of charisma and drive (as well as some fucking decent footballers too obv), I think he'll help give us that.

Cant see it happening though, unfortunately.

Yes, after a run of Roy, Ged and Rafa , it would be nice to have a charismatic manager

I could obviously take the winning, as I agree he would turn us into winners. I could even take the man, even though he's arrogant narcissistic prick (persona or not) at times, if I had to.
Sadly he'd fit in well here these days. And yet people will still claim to admire Shanks and Paisley and despise Ginsoak. Pass the sick bag.

Pass it to me too and I will pass on the douchie bag as well.

It's only human to manifest joy when your team scores. Even a little bit. Football isn't just 'business'- it's about passion. Rafa's better at business than he is at passion- he doesn't show any- that has to rub off negatively on the players.

Good point.

"If" Rafa does go, who would you be in favour of Macca?
Hiddink, I suppose, but in this context he'll soon be dubbed a clueless c*** by some on here.
Exactly my sentiment (not sure I want Hiddink though, who I do not know). For that matter, every manager who comes and don't deliver within a year will be hounded out too.

Whilst I agree, we're getting a bit nit-picky now. These things seldom get a mention when we're smashing Real Madrid and Manchester United. Then he's a Manager 'in control', 'without nerve', 'fully focussed', etc.

That said, I think it's safe to say his calculating approach is crucial in building a successful team, but when results aren't going his way, I suspect Rafa doesn't have the personal skills to drag his team out of it. We've had lows before under him, but none of this magnitude - and none when the squad's contained so many shit, mentally weak, or inexperienced players.

I disagree. Rafa is not a supporter of the club, he is an employee.

Rafa may very well cheer if he wins a monkey on the gigi's, who knows. He may take as much joy from his hobbies as you do (not this season obv) from yours.

I think if your life is embroiled within a football club - as it should be - it's only natural to show emotion when your decisions, players and substitutions come to fruition. I can't understand not displaying emotion at a football match.

That said, Capello is no different to Rafa with his players, and look what he's achieved.

Well unless they heading us towards relegation, they'd be afforded the same amount of time as all of our managers have been given. Can you name a Liverpool manager whose head was called for after a year Y1? I bet you can't.

You pay your money to go to
Anfield and watch a match. You get to shout and cheer and sing if you want to.
You are a supporter and you are there to do these things if you want.

Rafa likes to remain detatched from the emotion so he can stay focused. I prefer that than watching Mourhino running up the OT touchline.

That was exactly one year (he was in the second year) 😉

He is the manager of a major football club playing in front of 40,000 supporters, where the narrowest of margins dictate success and failure, not a building society manager watching one of his staff open a new account for someone. Managers should get excited when their teams score, it not natural to be underwhelmed.

Quite a few people called for Souness's head after one year. Mind you that was for slightly different reasons.

Which was his point, Macca...
