I suspect Mourinho wants to go down as one of the greatest managers of all time, and selects his clubs dependent on where success will come relatively easy.
I've no doubt he would like to manage us one day, but until he achieves his primary goal of matching the managerial greats, we won't be in his mind for long.

I wouldn't know in fairness like so point accepted. I just thought the comments like closing the blinds if Everton were playing in his garden, 2 great teams in Liverpool and maybe others I haven't heard or forgot wouldn't endear him to many people.

Most people used to laugh at those Shanklyisms, even bluenoses in my experience, though in their case the laughter might be punctuated by a few choice adjectives. The comments were genuinely funny and the great man said them with a twinkle in his eye. But the game as a whole was gentler then, off the pitch at least (some of the tackles on it would earn a GBH charge now).
