You know how this works, we’ve got a couple of matches yet in January for this to develop into a calamity. Then the panic sets in and we loan another broken midfield turd from somewhere at the last moment.
 
Oh i nearly forgot. Sprinkle a bit of rumour that we were in for good players either side of deadline day but it couldn’t be done

I also miss the days when we transfers suddenly just appeared at Melwood and we didn’t go toe to toe with moneybag spenders. Fabinho, Salah, Mané and Wijnaldum all came when the rumours were linking us to completely different players such Brandt, Dräxler, Götze etc. Snd when the chavs came if for Werner we walked away and got Jota instead.

Tbf, Gakpo was signed, sealed and delivered in very quick time.
 
Even the formation change was the wrong one we would have been more secure with 3-4-2-1, or 3-5-2. Especially since we had only 2 forwards in Gackpo and Salah available for the game. I mean isn't it just obvious.
 
Can someone please explain to klopp that our full backs are amazing but they don't defend well especially when we employ a higher line . They would perform better as wing backs . I bet Conte wishes he had Trent and Robertson at Spurs .

For the last three transfer windows, we have been fed that money is available for the "right" midfielder only. If this mythical "right" midfielder is Ruben Neves, I will be pissed. I don't think he will improve our midfield significantly due to his lack of physicality and running. But that is not the reason. He would have been available in summer easily when he made it clear he wanted to move. If Ruben Neves was one of the "right" midfielders, he should have been here earlier.
 
One thing to remember is that we have a bloated squad because we thought all those midfielders would suffice and spell each other. So before we buy, a few will have to move.

That's the thing I just don't fucking understand, why does he persist with the same formation and style, how many games do these players need to lose before he realizes they just can't do what he is asking them to do. Right now playing like Conte and using a pragmatic approach would be the right thing amd we know he can organise the team that way coz he does it against Man City every fucking year.
