I’d be flabbergasted if he was offered one anyway. He can’t last 30 minutes when fit.
Tbf before the world cup he started 7 of the 8 games completing at least 70 mins in all of them.....and in the other game he came on as a HT sub and played out the 45 mins.

And was blowing out of his arse after 30. He’s never had pace and looks even worse now.

Even if he was blowing out his arse after 30 seconds, he's done well to last as long as he has in games.....

You don't need pace to be a good player.

Who is funding this?

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, rivals of Cristiano Ronaldo's new club Al Nassr, are targeting 35-year-old Argentina and Paris St-Germain forward Lionel Messi in a $300m-per-year (£245.9m) deal. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish)

What I don't understand with these Arab countries is why do they target free transfers and pay them unheard of money...yet they won't pay a transfer fee for a player in Europe.

Is it some kind of crime out there to negotiate with European clubs? So they wait until said player is unattached from club?

Those players might have a bit of greed but they know to be remembered and have any worth to your own mind as a footballer you have to compete in Europe.

Granted, but we've competed and competed well with him at the forefront of the team the past 4-5 years have we not (If you discount this season)
He played nearly every league game prior to last season. Last season he had 20 appearances in the league. Currently on 13 for this. He’s not getting younger or fitter.

Sadly, none of us do..

But he's had his best season for us in years, worth keeping on for another year or 2.

If there is a real clear out at the Chavs, just get Havertz in for the Firmino role right away.
Expensive signings such as Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz are facing uncertain futures, while, as revealed this week by Telegraph Sport, Jorginho may be allowed to leave when his contract expires and interest in captain Cesar Azpilicueta could be considered.

Yes or No? Nearly £10m as a fee is way too much

According to Il Messagero, via Tutto Juve, the Serie A outfit would even be willing to sanction a loan exit for the 27-year-old this month, carrying an £8.8m fee, with a further £35.3m then required to make the deal permanent in the summer. Arsenal and Juventus have been credited with interest with the player’s agent, former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, said to have held talks with the Old Lady.

Read that as his agent giving Atlético the hurry up.

Is Melo blocking the arrival of another MF? I mean I could see FSG saying we have the full quota of non-grown home players and with Melo yet to play, why not see how that goes. Its shit thinking but that's the mindset of Klopp's bosses

I couldn't disagree more. Neves would slot very nicely into our midfield. Henderson out, Neves in. What's not to like?

I mean, I'd want an athletic, combative midfielder to replace Fabs (who looked like he was running through treacle yesterday) alongside him, but baby steps and all that.

Yah, I'll run with this - we really cannot afford to not sign someone and he's good enough to improve us considerably (which is more a testament to how poor we are, not how good he is)

I really rate Neves. He's intelligent, his distribution is excellent (both short and long), he's good at defending, he's a leader on the pitch, and he covers a lot of ground. He's in the top ten in the league this year for completed passes, blocks, interceptions, tackles and distance covered. He's young(ish), improving, Premier League proven and has worked with Pep before. And his contract is running down.

It's an absolute no-brainer from where I'm sitting.

Even if I disagreed, I'm going to say 'yay' as even you at CM would currently improve what we're offering! 🙂

Neves and Caicedo would work. Then aim for someone more defensive in the summer.

Bellingham is gone, so spend the 120+ on an overhaul. We need more than one player
