Well let’s not swallow them whole whole cupping their balls in one hand and giving them a wee poke up the bum with the other, just yet….

… the big jump is from getting near the top 6 to actually challenging consistently for trophies domestically and in Europe - that’s we’re we find out if they’re buying the right players and Howe actually has it as a manager.

They're going to fucking finish above us this season Stevie.

6 months after we finished about 50 points above them, how we've let it get to this point is unforgiveable.

I demands answers. And severed heads.

Virgil van Dijk facing spell on sidelines for Liverpool. Hamstring injury sustained in defeat to Brentford is worse than first feared.

Is it too late for a null and void?

If we apply what Klopp said last to this window who can we actually sell that’ll bring in enough to make it worthwhile?

Kelleher 20m, Phillips 10m (or Gomez 20m), Jones 15m and maybe Morton 15m (depending on whether the dortmund links are nonsense). There’s maybe 50m there if the stars aligned and we’d probably only lose a handful of league and champions league appearances.

I don’t for a second think it could be done but I would let them go for a Caicedo for example.
Keller is competent GK, who is his alternative? Clubs aren't lining up to buy our dead wood which is why we found no buyers for Ox and Naby. As Klopp's announced we need to sell to buy, clubs will low ball us or ask for loans.
Its like people who need to sell their house fast, will often sell at BMV.

What makes me smirk is a) we all thought that the club had learned its lesson and would get a MF b) That somehow we got into our heads that we would get both Enzo and Bellingham and FSG were saving up cash to spend lavishly. Instead we spend we're like Bournemouth.
Come summer we don't make top 4, FSG are still at the helm, we'll be told due to not qualifying for CL, there will be no signings unless we sell.

I'd like to see us for the rest of the season switch to a fairly boring, solid midfield that acts solely as a platform for the rest of the team, allows the full backs to get forward and basically provides protection for the centre backs. That means Elliott dropping out; but I'm not sure what the personnel would be. It would probably involve Milner coming in in the RCM position. Maybe Bajcetic alongside Thiago and Fabinho? Dunno.

I think something like Hendo, Fabs and Thiago with Bajcetic covering. Milner should not be in the mix, apart from as a sub.
The main point is how they are set up, more compact and narrow, a plattform as you say.

I vaguely remember us getting bids “below expectations” and didn’t sell Keita and Ox. Getting them off the wage bill would’ve freed up £200k/week.

I didn't realise that the red sox came bottom of the league last year after letting all their high paid stars leave and not replacing them.

Booed over there, their fans aren’t happy with the strategy over last 4yrs.
It seems to me he was being booed at an NHL game.. because the Pittburgh Pengiuns were in town.

The team he owns.

He will be booed by the redsox fans though soon.

The Boehly-Clearlake takeover was soon followed by the departures of senior figures from the old regime and the shift in emphasis has led to more change in the recruitment department. The latest to leave are two of their European scouting coordinators: Sven Dworaczek, who is returning to Liverpool, and Leonardo Masieri, who has accepted a job at CFG.

Fair play Benfica but not being taken for mugs by the rent boys.

That said, fully expect an announcement of the signing to be made in a few days.

The new Southampton manager seems not to rate Bella-Kotchap as much as the last one.
We should try and get him. He looks.a proper talent, and him and Ibou together we are sorted for the next 6 yrs.

He sounds kind of saucy!!!

Who the fuck even is the Soton manager? Never heard of him in my life.

And why does he look like a serial killer?

If i had to make a bet, if we do go for a MF, this guy is my bet. He looks okay, would probably cost less than £30m.
21, Uruguayan, plays in the Portuguese league as CM/DM

Luka Sukic from Salzburg. 20 year old Croatian....they're known for producing tidy little midfielders lately.

Would cost about 20-30m.

Why not.

WHY NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
