Jack Robinson

The Seasiders continued to push forward and despite putting Barnsley under pressure at set-pieces, they struggled to break through The Tykes' backline until stoppage time when a mammoth long throw from Robinson was flicked on and into his own net by Golbourne despite the best efforts of David Perkins to keep the ball out.

GOAL: BLACKPOOL 1-0 Barnsley

FULL-TIME: BLACKPOOL 1-0 BARNSLEY

The winning goal came off the back of a trademark long throw from on-loan Liverpool man Jack Robinson, although the manager is quick to stress that the team can't be too reliant on the 'weapon'.

"It's a weapon and something that you can use. I don't want to use it all the time - I didn't know Barry Ferguson had a long throw until he started marching over there - I want us to try and play football and play the right way. At times we did but we're still a way off.

"We've got a long, long way to go so that's why we can't get carried away. If you need something, a point or a win, then you can always rely on Jack Robbo to get the ball in the box."

I think what the writer's trying to say is that it's become a trademark thing while he's been at Blackpool, but even that's bollocks as he's only been there five minutes. In the end this is just another lazy hack padding his copy out with an easy cliché.
