Yeah but can you even spend that money on a replacement or alternate component without being mugged off this late in the window ?

The longer the club maintains this stance the harder it is to find a solution when / if they fold

No player is worth what they go for nowadays, but simply pointing to that doesn't take account of what the going rate has (rightly or wrongly) become. In today's market Coutinho's a £135-140 mill.player easy. And there definitely is a value in not accepting that we're a selling club.
