"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

Barcelonas sporting director saying it will be difficult to sign Coutinho, and this:

James Pearce @JamesPearceEcho

Svar til @GreekCule
LFC won't sell him mate. Owners/manager adamant that whatever Barca come back with, whether it's £100m or £120m, it will be rejected.

Doesnt look like he'll be leaving in this window, given the info from both camps.

I think the problem is as stated, Coutinho staying or going won't really change that much. We score goals and concede goals, we're scoring without Coutinho (though in fairness we also look very flat), but we're still conceding a fuck load, which we'll continue to do regardless of whether he stays or goes.

I'm not even sure signing VVD guarantees much, because he's off the pace in terms of match fitness and has had a bad injury. We're still stuck with the same shite at left back and the same expansive and too easy to expose system.

If we'd have got VVD and Kieta early in the campaign and bedded them in, then we'd have been off on the right foot. As it is, we're playing catch up in the transfer market and our best player is either indisposed or on his way out the door. It's a far cry from what we hoped for in May, I don't know how anyone can be an apologist for these fucking morons at the top.
Yeah i know but we're more likely to be in control of games with coutinho in the team. Plus he's one of the rare few match winners that we have. Also we'd score even more goals with him, and as our defence is so shit we need to score all the goals we can.

Totally, I don't disagree with that. I just think the problems that we had will still hamper us, so the impact of Coutinho is what? The difference is marginal when we're likely to fuck up alot.

It's unlikely that Barcelona will win anything this season apart from perhaps the Copa Del Rey so I guess there is always that to comfort him.

No just engage brain before posting Pat. I know that's hard like but give it a go.

In fairness I've just read the thread about the attack and there a fair few similar posts there.

I guess with it becoming an almost daily occurrence now I've becomes desensitized to it and its just part of a normal week which is the most depressing and alarming part.

Probably best keeping the sick jokes to the sick jokes thread and leaving them out of the football stuff.

Fair enough.

On the football side, I wouldn't be surprised if Coutinho is having second thoughts. Barca look broken, Suarez is now injured and Real are more dominant than ever.

Whereas Liverpool are drawing against the mighty Watford... And escaping just about from hoffenheim.

Barca are still Barca they'll be there or close to in all competitions as per
We'll be fighting our little guts out for 4th as a measure of our success

Indeed but I would say right now Liverpool have a better chance to win a trophy this season than Barca.

I'd quite happily pay Skullflower to cave your skull in

Kinda disagree. Unless Barcelona invest in at least two defenders, they will be at least third. And if they fail to land a marquee midfielder, they may finish lower.

Whereas we managed to land both two first team defensive targets... Oh... um. As you were.

Barca sporting director still thinks it's on.

[article]
Fernandez says he is confident Barca can complete a deal for both Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele.
Fernandez said: "We are negotiating and that is the truth. With all respect to both clubs, logically in a negotiation you need time to reach agreements for them and for us.
"We still have days ahead and we would like to go forward with this. It is true and I recognise this, that they are two players we feel like bringing here."
Liverpool have been adamant they are unwilling to enter into any negotiations for Coutinho and rejected his transfer request last Friday.

A fuckhead that needs to swear he is telling the truth twice in a short comment can't be a well trusted man.

That last statement is so vague it's practically meaningless. I'll bet they're actually "negotiating" among themselves how the tuppenny feck they're going to avoid looking like idiots.

First the GM then the Sporting Director. The next one will probably be from the President. Seems like a 'hang in there' message to Coutinho to continue being a cunt before any deal is closed.

Speaking to Carrusel Deportivo, Suarez said: "These two parties had little history and signings such as Dembele and Coutinho are not the solution.

"Barca have to know that (they are) united and together (and) they have to fight to get out of this, whether or not there are new players.”

Some sort of reversey dupe or is Suarez being a lad ?

Nah suarez is just a fucking warror. Basically saying signings isn't the solution. Fighting together to get out of the rut is the solution. He's just the type that never gives up.

Suarez is of course right. One or two New signings is the full answer to any question. They have to fight it out themselves as well. Which is something Our socalled fans also could from. We have what we have and need to work our way out of problems, whatever problem winning the away leg in CL qualifier has caused.
