Latest rumour is an approach for Issa Diop off West Ham... initial loan with 20m by option (or commitment)

West Ham are in a spot of financial bother forcing them to sell Haller and tout Declen Rice at a reduced price.
They would be probably looking for money up front rather than some vague promise to buy but it could be a runner.
More important is he half decent/

Insane. This is what we can't do. Over-spend on a short term player and wreck our sumer transfer plans - which will need every single penny.

Interesting. He loves to run with the ball which would be useful to change that style at the back but can’t remember much about his actual defending.

loan with no firm commitment would be ideal.

But that's precisely what they don't want to allow. It's getting like some bloke gazing at Groupon at 1.30 at night - '...I did want a cheap tiny fan heater for the spare bedroom...But they've only got this Mega Heat Buster Ceramic Cube for £250...Hmmm...I'm so tired...Oh feck it' - click.

Haha we've learnt our Italian lessons well.

I really like Diop - if we can get him on a small loan fee, with a transfer fee if we want him, it would be a low risk pick up imo (unless as Macca notes, it puts a dent in our summer plans).

I'm curious how he can't get a game for West Ham. What's the story?
He was a regular starter for the last two seasons but lost his place this season because of Covid.
Seemingly the defence has been doing really well since he came back to fitness and Moyes doesn't want to change a winning partnership.
