International's are just around the corner, I think, it's not something too many of us give a flying fuck about but TAA has been dropped.

It's great news, no pointless games for him and also a kick up the arse if he wants to get into the England squad for the Euros.

Any word on the Brazilians, are they staying or going on international games?
 
No players in the England squad.
Keita will only play one game, and not travel to red listed Namibia.

What about the Brazilian boys? Mane? Salah?
 
I think I heard that both the Brazilian and African contingent will stay at home.
 
I'd also love all of Hendo, Gomez & Trent to miss out on the Euros too. The better rested the players are for next season, the better.
 
Arrrgh FFS ......................Guinea coach Didier Six said he has "negotiated with Liverpool" and secured the release of Naby Keita for one of two upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers. ...am still not sure about this one, it should probably be in the Injury Updates thread already. 😡
 
Its not really great news for Trent, and he is according to the media reports devastated.

Egypt's Under-23 boss Shawky Gharib has said that they will send an official letter to Liverpool asking for their permission to allow Salah to take part in the tournament this summer.

“The rules of the Olympic football competition stipulate that any player who was not included in the preliminary list could not participate, and therefore we put Salah's name on the initial list," Gharib is quoted saying in King Fut.

He added: “Salah is very valuable in Egypt and outside of Egypt. He's the top scorer of the English Premier League and one of the best players in the world.

“It doesn't make sense to aim for an Olympic medal and not try to include a player like him in your team.

“We are preparing a file regarding Salah's participation before contacting Liverpool, officially. The file will contain the details of the draw, the group that includes the Pharaohs and the place where the national team will reside.

“After the draw we will complete the file and then contact Liverpool immediately."[/article]
 
I think that we as fans hate internationals and are delighted when our players don't get picked, but I also think that the players themselves all aspire to play for their country.
