Interesting bosman market this summer

Not as shit as usual. That De Vrij guy stands out, I know nothing about him and have never seen him kick a ball but he kept getting mentioned as a backup to Van Dijk. I hope we're on the phone.

I'd have loved Robben a few years ago

Fellini, Mata and Herrera will be a miss for utd
Shaw less so but still squad filler

Surprised they have allowed it to get so far, but maybe that's the nature of football now

Hopefully we manage to get a couple of the better players there

I imagine they'll sign Herrera up to a new contract.

I wouldn't touch Barkley. Something strange has gone on with him. His head's not right and he hasn't really kicked on from a couple of years ago.

His head's empty, is the problem. He's thick as a plank and seems incapable of learning to improve once it becomes more like hard work.

Yeah. I'm not always convinced that "bright" footballers are any more use than the normal level of lumpen idiocy one associated with professional footballers - look at Chamberlain, for an example - but Barkley is considered cretinous even by other footballers. He's as thick as a box of fucking hair.

Max Meyer? He's a diminutive Coutinho type, nothing like Can at all.

He doesn't need to be like Can to be an upgrade on him, if I was to make a comparison to one of our current players he's like a classier version of Lallana.

We're a small enough team as it is. We need more height in our team.

De Vrij, Giminez, and Goretzka all walk in to our current starting 11. It is criminal if we are not in for all of them.

I've seen him play once, I think, and he did remind me of Lallana; small, lovely touch and close control, slow as fuck and doesn't score often

Is it unfair to assume most of the better players in the list have run their contracts down having had unofficial agreements made with the club they want, similarly to Can to Juventus?

Presumably if they haven't, it's because they want a huge salary bump as the buying club doesn't have to pay out for a transfer fee & the agent will want a nice slice too.

Considering our relatively high wage bill & hardline stance on agent fees (again, relatively speaking), I'd be very surprised to see us in for any of these players.

We seem to be in the business of doubling / tripling incoming players wages anyways!

I can't imagine the likes of Lazio and Schalke pay anywhere near top Premiership wages.

Often see people remarking on our wage bill, why the fuck is it so high. It's not like we have a raft of superstars on £300k a week or a huge expensively assembled squad. I mean we have only two or three top class players and none of them were stars when they joined.

We're a club that is paying Dejan Lovren 100k per week.
