Alonso has no pace
Finnan
Kuyt
Riise
Carra
Hyypia

All players I like/ have liked (even loved) who are in no way 'pacy'

I just really fucking hate *shit* players who shouldn't be playing for Liverpool

Fair enougth.

I just can't seem to hate Insua though

He got skinned by John O' Shea. That's more than enough really.

yes... well...still.. can't hate him... "just"

I doubt he's in our plans, and he'll probably move on before the window closes. I heard Gladbach are interested, let's hope they make a bid.

After seeing him the other night? Never.

Maybe we are going to use him as a Trojan Horse. ie. send him into the canteen and eat all the shitty food, so none of the other players have to take on too many calories.

I don't hate him either. He's been quite disappointing given the relative promise he showed in the reserves and on the whole last season wasn't a success, but he's also put in some good performances as well.

If nothing else, to have a good club like Fiorentina offer 5M for a player not long out of our reserves is a step in the right direction.

I was a massive fan early on and snealy part of me was thinking he could come good if he stayed, however, reports from the monchengladbach match seem to confirm what many think: he is not good enough, which kinds saddens me as I had high hopes for him.

he's been raped so many times i think he's become timid and been left without any pride. the club made it clear he isn't needed and yet he still returned. no self respecting player would do that

insua is like a puppy that you kick in the head to make it go away. but instead of fucking off it comes whimpering back to you looking all sad and upset

well let's wait until thursday night then. i have a sneaky suspicion a lot of people will want to kick him in the head including you

Do you kick puppies in the head to make them go away?

Im really fucking pissed off this deal has fallen through. We won't be able to offload Insua now and will have to watch fumble around and fuck things up game after game ( as Fab will be injured ). This is bollocks.

So we're just as bad defensively on the left side as under Rafa?

At least we haven't made a bid for Dossena.

I wonder if Roy will play him. What's the betting he makes other arrangements for LB (Kelly, Agger, even Carra possibly)? With a bit of luck that might also convince Insua he needs to be elsewhere if he wants a real career.

my fingers are crossed aurelio stay injury free (ha ha no, really) I think he is a class act when fit (admittedly about as often as halley's comet)

Real shame but not a surprise.

Insua is clearly overpaid and sees no reason why he should take a pay cut. Its our fault for giving him a big contract before.

If it was a clear choice between first team or reserve football then maybe he would have taken a pay cut in order to play regularly but we since don't have any left backs the chances are he will be first choice here anyway (or back up to Aurelio which is the same thing). So what exactly what prompt him to leave?

The only risk he is taking is if new owners do come in and we buy a new left back anyway, then he might be looking at a year in the reserves, but since (I believe) his contract expires next summer anyway he will be looking at a decent pay day then anyway so its probably a risk worth taking

According to Italian newspaper La Nazione, Insua wanted 1 mill euros a year, Fiorentina were offering 800k a year. Twat.

Anyhoo, according to the same paper Gladbach and Juventus are interested. Juventus want him as they are letting go of Grosso. Looks like Insua could be off regardless.

In this day and age, 1 million euro a year is hardly asking for the earth.

No its not at all. 20 grand a week

Either this is totally wrong or the earlier reports of his wages here are totally wrong. Or both.

More in a twat for not moving. He's certainly on more than 20k here or else he would have taken that offer imho.

Hopefully Gladbach or Juventus will take him off our hands.
