Arf!

His Babel one was ace tho, esp considering how much he rates him ;D
Must have missed that one. Care to paraphrase?

Cant remember too well, but it was something about Babel complaining about some cabbie on Twitter.

Neil said that the cabbie must have driven down blind alleys, dead ends and cul-de-sacs and then told him 'let'see how YOU like it for a change'

that was said as a statement rather than a joke, not that I give a shit whether anyone finds me funny or not.

The irony of fucking BIlko being the arbiter of humour on 6CM is funnier than anything else.

Both were pretty decent, unlike Insua..

cheers jimmy and bren 🙂

According to Sky Italia, there are still some minor issues that Fiorentina and Insua yet haven't solved.

Gladbach are also said to be interested, maybe thats why he played on sunday. Let's hope they didn't pay to much attention, cause he was shite in that game.

Just read that Corvino says that deal is now dead and not happening due to insua wanting a wage which they are not willing to offer :'( ARGH!!

I hope someone told him that he pays more tax in England.

The Florentine one decided to renounce Emiliano Insua, third Argentinian of the Liverpool. Raven Black Pantaleo announced it. The purple club had gia' defined the Agreement with the societa' English on the base of 4.5 million euro. Then the reverse: 'Until two of tonight I was at talk with the ds of the Liverpool -it the purple ds explained- to the end we decided to renounce Insua, that restera' in England. For our moment market in entry it is closed'.

Fiorentina Confirm They Have Pulled Out Of Deal For Liverpool's Emiliano Insua
Corvino shuts the door on Insua...

Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has confirmed Liverpool's Emiliano Insua will not be joining the club.

Negotiations between Fiorentina and Liverpool had progressed well, but questions over the player's wage demands have scuppered the deal, and the Italians have pulled out.

"Insua? It has been a transfer that has gone on for a long time because of the player," he told the press.

"I had dinner with Liverpool's sporting director until two in the morning. The player is staying at Liverpool.

"The reasons are linked to the player. His demands are high for us. We will not sign Insua."

Corvino also confirmed Juan Manuel Vargas is staying at the Artemio Franchi, despite being linked with Real Madrid and Inter.

"If players don't ask to leave then we will keep them. We want to keep all our players. Vargas? He is staying," said the chief.?

For fucks sake.

Let's hope Roy doesn't actually rate him and still wants him sold.

I suppose it's not surprising that he'd rather rot here than get less to play elsewhere.

The lot of the modern footballer.

Yes and no. It's arguably a short-sighted view to take of a career which is only in its relative infancy and which could suffer overall if Insua fails to get regular games at LFC, something which is devoutly to be wished.

He's an U21 who will be a "homegrown" player from next season. he actually, probably worth more to us than we were willljg to sell him for. If he stays and is not our first choice LB, butget's a chance to play in a team that's not coming apart at the szxeams then, I'm for it.

Maybe Roy can "develop" him into a more attractive player. he is young FFS... I mean people bang on about about Stephen Warnock... he didn't gte his Liverpool debut until he was 23 - Insua turned 21 6 months ago.

I've siad it before and I'll say it again.... Insua is much better than Warnock at the same age.
Insua is much better than Warnock at the same age.
Warnock was always injured in his young days.

Don't know how many they both played, but I'd wager Warnock looked much better after their first say 30 games.

He may learn positional sense and how to tackle .... but you can't make him any taller or faster so he will remain a 'Meh' player. If he's not in our first team, God forbid, then it's hardly likely his value will increase. Fuck, this is really disappointing.

He's a really, really terrible footballer.

He may lose weight, get more experience, improve his tackling and know where to fucking stand, so that one day he will be a mediocre player

Great. Perhaps he's using Lucas as a benchmark as to how good he can possibly become

Yeah, lokk, Warnock was doing quite well out on loan at Coventry about this stage of his career - I reckon Insua could do alright there as well.

Granted he's slow, he's fat and he "fuckin" short... but I feel sorry for him because he got his chance in an abortion of a season, was almost ever present when he should have been gently broken in and still ended up second in the assists chart behind Gerard.

I know you "love" pace Brendan and hate Insua & Lucas.... and I accept that you have a prety strong basis for said argument... but.... I just can't seem to hate Insua that much and I really, really don't think he, along with Lucas, are as bad a you've managed to convince the masses of.

Alonso has no pace
Finnan
Kuyt
Riise
Carra
Hyypia

All players I like/ have liked (even loved) who are in no way 'pacy'

I just really fucking hate *shit* players who shouldn't be playing for Liverpool
