Hay my arse, I'm sticking to the malted Barley.
I tend to shy away from the football forum these days Av so I've been a bit reckless on this thread.
Truth is I've fallen out of love with top level football and rarely watch any EPL unless it's Liverpool. I still love football but these days much prefer watching Crewe, Burton Albion or Derby County rather than Man Utd v Chelsea.
Why don't you take the missus down to Carrow Road for a game? Go on a tuesday night when there's Champions League football on telly - it's liberating to watch Norwich v Scunthorpe on a cold, damp tuesday night whilst Chelsea are playing Real Madrid on TV. Eschew the home comforts for a REAL taste of english league football! You'll never look back.

I plan to, but I'm not sure if I should show my face around there so soon.
I made the mistake of walking near Carrow Road some weeks ago (I'm about 20 mins walk from there) passing a stream of Canaries supporters agfer a game all clad in their sickening yellow shiirts whilst I was clad in our shirt.
Wasnt a good idea as I attracted many looks.

2 seasons ago when Burnley were striving for promotion to the EPL I went with my my 2 Burnley mates (weirdly one is a 47 year old jewish guy and the other is a gorgeous 24 year old Muzzie) to see Burnley beat Norwich 1-0 (or maybe 2-0).
Two reasons for this recollection - one, because the same night United played a CL quarter final against someone big (dunno Milan, Juve, Bayern etc) and it was great being amongst the 9,000 crowd on a tuesday night, enjoying dodgy steak & kidney pies and cans of carling at half time and not giving a fuck how the csum were doing.
Secondly, I have so much respect for the 6 coaches of Norwich fans as they left Turf Moor at 9:45pm for a 6 hour drive back to Norwich mid-week to support their team (who were in relegation trouble).
Thirdly, When I went to watch Burnley the following season with my mates Mo & Zahina in the Premier League, suddenly there were 25,000 people there! Not only that but when they were 1-0 down AGAINST ARSENAL, they started booing (not Mo & Zahina, the others). Funny, when they were a succesful championship team beating nrowich in front of 9,000 hardcore fans everything was cool but they had the temerity to get promtoed and be a goal down to arsenal they got booed.
I'm guessing it was the 16,000 blow-in's that were booing - I hate the Premier League.
I have to go to bed soon.
