Elisha Scott on YNWA said this is all bullshit.

Practically everything I've ever heard from Elisha Scott has turned out to be bollocks. Weren't DIC signed, sealed and delivered according to him?
No they weren't but it was taken that way, he posted what he was told but clearly from a different source and due to his previous excellent record was given all sorts. He hasn't posted much since I think. One of the most accurate insiders LFC has had prior to that.
He called the Keane deal very very early.

I mean, didn't Rafa get a slapped wrist for publicly tapping Keane up- in press conferences and such like? It didn't take a genius to work out the deal would happen.

Haven't read the topic but I'll just assume it's like all the others elsewhere. It's no surprise to see Stevie getting shite from beauts not fit to lick his piss. The clueless soccernomics crew resent him because he's somehow destroying project Benitez with his individual brilliance and, you know, goals and stuff, unlike their poster boy Lucas who contributes the square root of fuck all apart from giving away soft free kicks.

The lad has nothing to prove anymore. That's ignoring the fact that he's been injured all season (and still been our most creative player)

Gerrard has been injured a lot this season and has still contributed much much more than that blonde haired cretin peple are claiming they'd rather have starting than him over on RAWK.

Gerrard has been one of our major contributors Sumo. He has scored 5 goals and 5 assists in 16 games.

One of them, i agree entirely.

I don't think the most though, and obv Lucas hasn't been the most creative, but i think it's unfair on Johnson, Yossi and Torres to say that.

When they are not comparing him to Essien or (young) Viera, they are suggesting that he is better than the rest of the team which is why he looks bad.

Lucas has been our most consistent player this season;

Lucas has proved his critics wrong over the last 2-3 months and has put in not outstanding performances every week but performances fans can see he's improved a lot and wants to win for the team.

Lucas deserves a B, hes come on leaps and bounds this season and is one of the few players giving 100% every game.

lucas has done well this season. How can he be marginally better than Skrtel who has had a nightmare?

They all get an F except Reina A*, Lucas B and Kyrgiakos C

Lucas Leiva B- Been very solid for us this season, usual scape goat but he offers no creativity or attacking threat which we need at times*.

*This made me laugh

Lucas Leiva - Good. Always rated the lad and dare I say he's proved me and others right this season. He is wasted at times in a 4-2-3-1, as seen by his attacking play against Sunderland. There have been games where he has threatened to control the game, with both good passing ability and work-rate, but has come a little bit short*

*This too

Excellent to Very Good: (Generally consistent high level of performance)
Reina
Lucas
Mascherano
Torres

There are more (in this very small thread) but I got bored

I don't think that's quite right about Johnson, Torres (I think) is in the same boat as Gerrard in that he's been injured and produced far from his best though that's still been easily enough to be one of our top performers. I agree entirely about Yossi who I think has been our most creative player this season - despite often being saddled with his worst position on the left.

Early on Johnson was definately one of our main contributors but he has been off the boil since the whole horse placenta thang.

Gerrard: 'Bust-up rumours are rubbish'

Steven Gerrard has dismissed as "fantasy" the wild rumours that he will quit Liverpool after a bust-up with boss Rafa Benitez.

And the Anfield captain instead maintains that he remains totally committed to the club.

Both manager and skipper are dismayed by the persistent speculation - that was first aired on a national radio show - which claims the player had a furious row in the dressing room at half-time during the defeat by Reading in the FA Cup last week.

The rumours claimed that Gerrard had a showdown with Benitez and coach Mauricio Pellegrino, and vowed that he would never play for Liverpool again.

But last night, the England midfielder firmly set the record straight. ?I've heard about a dozen versions of the same rumour and they're all as daft as each other,"Gerrard explained.*

"I'd love to know who comes up with this kind of stuff because they must have an unbelievable imagination. Nothing happened, that's an absolute fact.*

"And if anyone thinks this nonsense unsettles either me or the club then they're mistaken. If anything it's brought everyone even closer together because we've all had a good laugh about it.

"In the time since he's been here I've never had a problem with the manager or his staff, and certainly not at half-time in the Reading game when I was actually receiving treatment for the injury I'd picked up during the first half," he added.

"The important thing for me now is trying to get myself fit as soon as possible so I can get back to working with the manager and the team to try and improve our situation.

"All the stories about me leaving are unfounded. The fans can be assured that I am doing all I can to get back to top form and help Liverpool finish the season on a high.

"Benitez too, explained that he and his skipper were laughing about the 'stupid' rumours yesterday, with the manager refusing to give them credence.

Instead he revealed that he is concentrating on turning Liverpool's season around, and finding a striker in the current transfer window, to cover for the injured Fernando Torres.

The Reds boss has made a concerted attempt to bring Kenwyne Jones in on loan but, with his club Sunderland ready to discuss only a permanent transfer, he has gone cold on the striker.

Benitez sees Jones as a stop-gap, and is reluctant to spend the £10million Sunderland are asking on a forward who may only be a squad player.

Standard Liege striker Milan Jovanonic is a free agent in the summer and could be bought for a nominal fee, and Benitez has made several enquiries about the Serbian.

The credibility of some of our ex-players in the Media must be at an all-time low. Especially those ones who put their names to that story of a 'bust-up'.
