If there's any Justice in the World? Lemar to be our Man?

That was over a decade ago. If you need to go back that far to get an example, then its very rare. Especially when you compare to how often it's rumoured.

I'm sure it's a yearly occurrence, but I'm not too fussed - they can buy Origi for 20 million and we can buy Lemar for (valuation in today's market)-(20 million)

Yeh, but that price has widely been tipped to be £92million, that's mental, is he worth that? Also, surely we risk not being FFP compliant here.
Doesn't FFP take into consideration spending over a few years? If so, the last few low-zero spend windows should stand for us.

Of course no one seems to take any notice of FFP anymore, anyway

Seriously? Have you seen how little money we've spent over the last few years?

That combined with a profit last summer, huge tv rights money & guaranteed CL money means we're in little danger of falling foul of any FFP regulations. Not that they seem to mean anything anyway.

I've not followed Serie A transfers for a while but I remember that they seem to do a lot of player for player type deals over there. But then they have a really weird domestic market that sees top of the table rivals handing players over and doing each other favours.

FFP shouldn't be a problem anyway considering all the money we've spent on the stadium in the past couple of years. That's how City got around it because they invested in the infrastructure.

Good point. We've also just received a huge chunk of change for melwood & are investing millions in the new training ground setup, which would also offset players fees.

If we are about to sell Coutinho for £130m and this guy costs £90m then im ok with that.

If hes good like.
That would basically be Coutinho for Lemar and Salah. Which is probably a good deal and still leaves us having only spent £45m on Keita.

Leaves plenty in the tank for VVD and A.N.Other (DM or CF)

I think we'll still lack something without Coutinho, things are rosy now but we'll miss his ability to pick locks against certain sides and to provide match winning moments. Lemar is ace, he's perfect for us and quite similar really to Salah, in that he makes perfect runs from deep and anticipates where the ball is going in the box, those two will be lethal, but it's more of the same. Having an option from Mane, Salah and Lemar will make us a real force, but that midfield can be incredibly flat at times without a Coutinho or Lallana buzzing about.

I'd rather have VVD than lemar if we had to chose one. We're tops going forward, but my god, that defence.
If we could land both, that would make one very good window.

Bitch dont kill my vibe.

Probably the future of Keita Balde Diao will no longer be in Serie A. But in France. In fact, Monaco and Lazio have just reached an agreement on the basis of 30 million more bonuses . There was a meeting between Mendes (broker for club) and Lotito at Cortina, which started yesterday and just before the agreement was signed. Even the player would give okay, so much so that he is expected to visit Monte Carlo for a visit. If there are no ups and downs, then Inter and Juve have been beaten. And Keita will probably be a new Monaco player soon.

So say we get Lemar...where does he play? Even though he CAN play in the middle he seems to have more made his name by playing out wide. Why are we spending a whole load of dosh which should be going towards a CM and CB on a position where we are strong?
