If there's any Justice in the World? Lemar to be our Man?

He is quite left footed, but he's comfortable under pressure and is always aware when there's a pass on. This all according to the compilations I've watched and absolutely nothing else. Definitely looks like a klopp attacker. I wish I had as good a sense of what a klopp cm looked like.

Isn't Balde a striker?
Don't see how he's connected to Monaco letting Lemar go.

Not exactly a like for like but can play on the left depending on system (and support Falcao the way he did with Immobile at Lazio).

Liverpool still waiting on Thomas Lemar

Premier League side Liverpool are this morning still waiting to hear back from AS Monaco following their latest offer of €80m plus the loan of Divock Origi.

According to a journalist at the Nice-Matin last night, the Principality side had decided not to respond to the proposal.

It is our understanding that this is likely to be a negotiating tactic from Monaco. The Principality side did the same thing with Arsenal, who made three offers, and Les Monegasques only actually formally responded to the first proposal from the London side.

As GFFN reported on Monday morning, AS Monaco would be prepared to negotiate at €100m.

Monaco are searching for another attacking player before the window closes, which could facilitate Lemar’s departure.

This is in danger of becoming a never-ending story. Hang on, that's Limahl, not Lemar. As you were: there's cause for hope.

You're like one of those characters who go on TV quiz shows and when they get a history question they moan, 'Aw, how can I know that - I wasn't even BORN when that happened!'

Yes Julien lad.

Seems as translate option isn't available on the embedded version (thats a small version of the site running inside SCM Dreamy) here's the translation.

"Liverpool will offer ~ 90 million for Lemar in the evening..."

"I am very worried, let me not everything you say, but a departure is likely now. Liverpool will be a 95-100M."

If we're paying 90m for this lad then Coutinho is definitely going.

Going off everything we know about FSG , I'd be inclined to agree.

This would be some what of a landmark moment if we were to sign Lemar and keep coutinho. I just don't get where he fits in. Does one of Sadio/salah warm the bench? ( yeah I know we have lots of games blah blah)

I'm getting really pissed off tbh, regardless of whether Coutinho goes & Lemar comes in.

We needed six players minimum imo, as it stands we're going to have a huge problem in the final third of the season, if not before depending on injuries.

We have done nowhere near enough business this window.

Truth

The keitas of next year and record breaking bids mean fuck all, when our midfield is still an injury away from calamity, and our defence is an actual calamity

I fully expected a day of 'meh' bang average squad filling signings this window & maybe two first teamers. The lack of either is depressing as fuck.

Klopp out.

Heh. Now don't put words in my mouth.

We don't know why we haven't seen more activity, it could be klopp, the owners, or both.

They could be right, & our younger players may be the dogs bollocks so we don't need any, but I suspect there's a strict wage limit which is restricting our business this summer.

I also suspect that Klopp wants to work for the pre season with players to have them perform like against Arsenal. A rush of players in now will do nothing by destroy the hard work done over the summer. It is difficult enough for him to bed in 1 player to the system. 4 or 5 would seriously disrupt the rythm for the team and set us back.

So, hang on. Are you saying that the current interest in Lemar, Oxlade and whoever is not genuine? Or won't happen because he wants a full pre-season to work with them?

Or that we've just totally fucked up the summer transfer window, and too much hinged on Coutinho and Keita?

There's no doubt there's an obvious wage structure that FSG want to adhere to, and a total wage level for the club.

Having four or five squad players come in would simply mean we train them & bed them into the side later on.

However, even assuming you're correct, that just means we should have bought the players we needed earlier in the window. Bolstering the squad numbers isn't dependant on players leaving so shouldn't have to be delayed.

Anyway, pass that kool aid lad.

I normally don't worry about fees, but 100 for a one footed one season wonder I'd never heard of?

Give Leibzig an extra 30 to stick Keita on a plane. Give Southampton 70 for VVD. Give Arse 30 for Ox. Keep Coutinho. Shut the window.

People are moaning about us not spending money, and then cry an amount is too much. Get the cheque book out John lad!
Haha yeah, we could well be spending the next few transfer windows' budget too -
Lemar is 21, Chamberlain is 24, Keita is 22 Salah is 25, VdV is 26. (Mane, Firmino both 25)

Isn't Salah a first teamer? There's also Robertson and Keita, albeit for next season. Lets judge this at the close of DD.

What sort of wage structure allows a mediocre centre back to earn 100k a week ?

Keita doesn't count for obvious reasons.

Salah = one first teamer
Robertson = squad filler (although he looks better than expected)

So that leaves one first teamer & three squad fillers. In 30 odd hours of the window, & not accounting for replacing anyone we let go. It's not just unlikely, it's damn near impossible.
