If not Dalglish then who?

It would be a disaster if Rafa took over.

\We'd have to be prepared 4 a humping every week....

Kenny has to be given more time imo.

We're on a slippery slope if we start to get rid of managers after fuck all time in charge.

If Ancelotti didn't land the PSG job then he would have been the man.

Anyway stick with Kenny and see where we are at the end of his contract.

You have missing the point down to an art form, Modo.
Tell me what the point is please.

You come with these snide borderline cuntish remarks from time to time.

Enlighten me.

Roy was the safe bet too.

Look how well that worked out.

How was Roy the safe bet? Safe bet for what improving us? Right.
Foxy wasn't bigging Roy up here. He was saying that some people thought the same about Roy as you had just said about Rafa earlier in this thread. That's the point.

I just don't see how you can compare Rafa to Roy. OK, I'm calling Rafa the safe bet but that's because I know more about him than Roy and he's got a lot more experience than Roy in major competitions.
I get that H.O is saying, basically that we shouldnt go back but in my opinion Rafa is best suited for the job if Kenny get's the sack before the season ends.

Cheers, I was worried I was writing in Sanskrit or something.

Hamann & Hyypiä would be interesting. But I want Kenny to get his shit together. Poor signings, poor tactics and poor substitutions have been too common but on the other hand we have played very nice football against the top teams. Is it because the players are more fired up or Kenny?

I love the way people are forgetting Rafa's last couple of years for us when he lost it.

Then he took over at Inter when they were European cup winners and made a mess there too.

No way I'd have him back.

Presumably anyone who names Brendan Rodgers would have taken Phil Brown a couple of year's back?

Or Owen Coyle

Phil Brown and Brendan Rogers are MILES apart.
I'm not in any way advocating him, but he's a very talented manager.

Phil Brown is not.

How do you know that though? Not having a go, seriously, what shows he's a "very talented manager" whereas Brown wasn't?

Mostly on the style of play, but also on how he has built such a good team for peanuts.
He could of course fade badly, but I dont think so at all. Rodgers is going places, and was very highely regarded in the Chelsea set up aswell.

I love that he has Swansea playing the footy they do, and its insane that Leon Britton has the highest pass percentage in Europe with 93.0

I just think comparing the orangefaced headset wearing Brown to Rodgers is laughable. But thats my view.

He's performed miracles with Leon Britton - the last I'd heard of him he was a fat Tory in the Treasury.

Or Owen Coyle

Coyle is probably a very good manager who is having an iffy 6 months. Some of his signings over the last few months have been odd and I always found it strange that he didn't start Mark Davies regularly until recently and still doesn't pick Pratley (who is much better than Reo-Coker). That said, they have lost their 2 best midfielders from last season (Holden & Lee) to injury and I still think he'll get them out of trouble.

Owen Coyle will more-than-likely prove to be a very good manager.

Paul Lambert's (Norwich) signings are very shrewd and he seems to get the best out of his players - he's definitely worth consideration.

The manager who has punched above his weight in this league more than any other (and not just over 6 month like Rodgers, Lambert, Coyle etc) is David Moyes.
He's performed miracles to keep that muck in the top half of the table. If he had done the same at say Catania or Bari or Wolfsburg or something hed be regarded as one of the best managers around.
Wether he could translate that into being a top manager challenging for trophies is a difficult one to call.
As I said earlier ideally Kenny turns it round.
