If not Dalglish then who?

This isn't a sack Dalglish thread, I would like to hope that he can turn this round. If we continue in the same form then the summer maybe intresting and the owners / Dalglish may have a decsion to make. So if they do make a decsion who's out there? Who would you like?

Dortmund's manager is doing good things. Obviously I am gonna say Maureen aswell but I've got more chance of shitting gold than that happening.

By the way the name Hiddink is barred!

Who's the monchengladbach manager? Currently 2nd in Germany just done the double over Bayern. Anyone know what the football is like?

I dont think randomly bringing a man fron German league iz going to work. If not Kenny then the best man for the job is Rafa.

Using last season's 'Sami used to be slated for his lack of pace but since he went to Germany and we've struggled he must be twice as young and fast than he was when he was last here' principle, I'd say any manager who has won a few games this season ought to be mentioned as well worth considering. And Rafa, of course, as he was HUGELY popular on here in his last season.

Hmmm I don't really want to enter the debate as to who really D, I just hope it does not come to that, but a dip in our fortunes was always going to raise questions, and it's far to early for people jumping on any Dalglish-out bandwagon, and I know you are not.
The thing is it that it is what most were clamouring for, and whatever happens he was the right man at the time, in fact the only man, the whole club needed unifying we were all tearing it apart and that worked.
My big concern was exactly this - what if the legend is seen to have frailties, what is the reaction going to be? I was concerned last week at the team selection and logic behind it, this week happy with the team but the individual performances and as a team were shocking.
All those that said we won't miss Suarez need their heads looking at, we were always going to miss him, there is a big big something missing when he is not there buzzing around, perhaps it's no coincidence that Adam has looked a shadow of the player without Suarez for any meaningful outlet, Bellamy can't do it all on his own..........Where was I ? Oh yes Suarez is just one man, and other than Lucas we have no real meaningful injuries (I did not think I would say that myself, but there you are), but we looked hopeless yesterday.
So poor team selection and a poorly motivated under-performing team where does that buck usually rest? I am going to support him through thick and thin, I might criticise some of the stuff that he does, but I will maintain a hope that he can with Suarez back and on-form still turn it round.
There also has to be a fleck of realism in this too that there were question marks over his appointment as regards his tactical acumen from me, but he is the legend and I must stick with him, and just hope if it gets too bad he falls on his own sword.
If it ever did come to it and I hope it does not, I hope you shit gold.

regards

Could there be some kind of temp ban or at least infraction for inappropriate use of gif? Clearly Jan did read Julian's post. It was only two sentences.

Brendan Rodgers
Ditto.

I want a British manager with a British ethos. I want the next Ferguson, but who is less of a cunt.

It's got to be Brendan Rogers, he's proved himself over, what, at least a year, and I think that's quite enough.

I can understand why people want Rogers but I do wonder how they're thinking.

I wonder if they're thinking. How long would he get before the 'what the fuck is he doing' brigade got started? A week?

To be honest I just want a high profile manager with a good reputation.

We need to attract class players and we would be showing our intent by hiring someone with a great CV.

Rafa should be on the top of the list.

We need to stick with Kenny, I'm not convinced he's the wrong man for the job
I agree. We need to sort shit out in summer though. No excuses.

Now list his achievements and compare them to Emery and Rodgers.
Well Benitez is 11 years older so they arent comparable, but if you are simply suggesting he deserves the job because hes won more then surely Jose should be top of the list? Or Lippi, Rijkaard? Or any of the other managers who have won more than Rafa?
Or are you just talking bollocks?
However if you like i'll humour you. When Rafa was the same age as Emery (11 years ago) and as such at a comparable stage in his career in 1999 he was sacked by Extremedura after being relegated. Two years later he would get the Valencia job. The job Emery has been doing for a year or two.

Does it matter where he was 11 years ago?
So you're basically saying that Rafas's CV is obsolete because he wasn't as good as Rodger or even Emery at that age?
Hmm good one.
The reason Rafa is on the top of my list is because, he knows the team, he knows the club and he's got tons of experience most importantly he's available.
Of course I'd pick Mourinho or Guardiola etc ahead of him, but are they willing to come to Liverpool?

If you want to risk and hire someone like Emery that's your thing, Rafa for me is the safe bet.
I dont know what you are on about. I dont want Rodgers. I didnt mention him.
And I dont want to risk anything. I want Kenny to sort it out.
And the suggestion that we go back to a manager who failed and was sacked because he 'knows the players' is fucking stupid.

Roy was the safe bet too.

Look how well that worked out.

How was Roy the safe bet? Safe bet for what improving us? Right.
