I'm not sure if this is right, but I think I read something about this photo which said it was a bird waiting for the human to die so it could eat the poor thing. :-[

Ps-the vulture was doing what vultures do. The photographer watched the scene for some time hoping the bird would spread its wings for a better shot as this child tried to crawl the mile odd to an aid camp. He never once thought i can help this baby.
Later he killed himself, so at least it had a happy ending, and i dont mean a wank.
Theres a terrific thread about this somewhere in general.
