Based on current form it is more likely than challenging for 4th, and to say otherwise is feluding yourself. That's not to say I think we will be hovering around the bottom 3 all season, but 6 games in is a fair amount of time to show something, what have we shown except for how to be inept at pretty much everything this season.

I wanted anyone but Benitez, i really did. I'm quite able to realise however than Roy is doing pretty shit and won't last long. That said, the way we were heading with Benitez very much suggested we could have ended up with this situation with him anyway. I wanted to give him some time, cause it would be the sensible thing to do. But after 6 league games, were we have struggled in every game. It's clear that this pattern isn't going to change. We're getting outplayed by just about anyone these days, and it's fucking embarressing.

He won't be sacked any time soon though, as that simply won't happen. But if we're 10th or there about come Christmas, I really think we should consider his job.

Now, the players have to take some blame, but old man Roy is out of his debth here. And sinking fast.

He didn't exactly start too well at Fulham too. For me, it's a bit kneejerk to want him out this early, especially when looking at the wider picture (- the owners - who are still the main reason we are where we are). If he was given the money the last manager had, and we were still in this situation, then yeah, I'd want him gone. But only a truly top class manager would have us performing much better, this early, than Roy has.. and there's none of those about at the moment.

I still think Roy will achieve our said 'realistic' goals this season - i.e. UEFA cup football. But, I can't see us overachieving with him, which is what I'm guessing some of you (who want him gone) were hoping for.
