He is bigging up Sturridge like we have no one else capable besides him. The last person he did that to, the "best young player in Europe" did not sign a new contract. He's doing it again.

Heh, that's a good point actually. I thought at the time that Rodgers was going too far in making it clear that he can't do without Sterling. Gives the player and their reps too much leverage.

I'm told by someone who does work within the club that the 'conspiracy' thing is believed inside melwood to be aimed at a group of players who are fucked off with him, not the transfer committee, owners, or ex players.

The rumour that he spends little time with players off the training pitch was reiterated, & this falling out was the given reason. He goes out of his way to avoid players pre match & on the coach etc.
The only things worthy of note I was told is that Lucas & Milner are both trying to make things more amicable, & that Henderson is one of the players who has fallen out with him. He said he honestly didn't know why some players had turned against him, but that a 'high profile player' (he wouldn't say who) referred to him in very insulting terms in front of players from another club recently & was pulled up about it by a member of the coaching staff.

If any of this is even remotely true he's not gonna be here come Christmas.

That shit is well believable, and it isn't good at all, but footballers have thick skin and fall outs/spats are common place.

As unlikely as it seems now, with the future of Rodgers up in the air, and with the fixtures we have to come etc, but IF Henderson was to come back in 6 weeks or whenever it is to a Liverpool team that's on a bit of a winning run, and are full of confidence, I bet he'll be best mates with Rodgers again.
It's all about results, they can cure a lot of things in football.

Ronnie Pickering would offer any of our players a square go at half time if they weren't performing. Would probably motivate as well as Brendan's inevitably cringe-worthy half time witterings.

Rodgers doesn't seem to realize one good season is starting to look like a flash in the pan. You can dine out on it for maybe a season after that, but quickly you have to re deliver.

For me, a Liverpool manager should be capable in Europe. Brendan lost me when I realized he was so clearly out of his depth against the giants of Ludogrets and Basle.

Rafa and GED would have given Real Madrid a run for their money. Not wilted.

As a sidebar, Rafas time here just keeps looking better and better.
